Finally some news on Ordeal call and the class score! It's not much but it gives us an idea on how the mechanics for the systems will work and what the devs are currently thinking. In this video I talk about the announcement and the possibilities for the future!

Just wanted to quickly give my take on the new announcement! I'm hoping the devs go above and beyond with this new mechanic, but obviously that will remain to be seen. I'm mostly just surprised that they're releasing this now instead of the anniversary. Considering that new strengthening systems are usually anniversary content, like Fou Paws, Command Codes, Command Card strengthening, Servant coins....

They probably have nothing else ready to release because this new mode needed most of their focus. And they know they can't just give us nothing until anniversary, that's way too far away.
Imagine if this new game mechanics will fix the assassin's class damage modifier? But it's too good to be true...

Like any power scaling in meta systems, if it makes a weaker thing finally good, it only breaks already strong things even further beyond
why so many mats for this system wtf i just hope we get at least something from "blank nodes", i dont wish to pay for 53 "blank nodes" for just a single attack up, or something like this
For the class score thing, I hopium we can get bonusses with bond & np gen.. But I have doubts..
1) While I am a strong advocate for intermittent breaks for new players and those with a life outside of a mobile game, the amount of dead time continues to exceed acceptable levels. 2) Wait and hope. The system may be an improvement; the company also has a pretty bad track record when it comes to game design. I will judge it when it releases, especially given the limited information. It sounds to include way too many additional resources, though.
When you mentioned they are looking for a Part 3 Director... Boy, I hope they keep Kanou-san About all this system, I'm honestly really hyped to have any kind of new content. I reallly hope the values of the upgrades are considerable and no just 0.05% ATK Up or something like that. However, I'm also kinda scared tbh. Lasengle hasn't been keeping the best of records lately but I'm always eager to see what they have in store for us regardless.
So if it's 9 class scores for all classes, would alter ego, foreigner, ruler, etc. All be lumped into Extra Class and not separated?! We are talking about major stonks here if that's the case, but we will wait and see.

If it's 9 it's 7 standard + Extra 1+2. Like with the Guaranteed rolls.
Actually I wonder if the nodes that you will be unlocking on the Servant Core system will be permanent once chosen or if you will have the ability to freely reset them to follow a different "sphere gird". We can imply from the small image of the system we have that it might have multiple "Sphere Grids" or paths like in Final Fantasy X, so you might be able to choose different paths on buffs most suited for the Servants you have on your account? As you mentioned, for example, a Buff Success Rate node(s) on the Saber Sphere Grid of a total of +40% will be incredibly good for Nero Saber, Caesar, Lan Ling and Lakshmibai by allowing them to use their chance skills without chance of failure or the need for another servant that can give them the Buff Success rate up. Personally I hope this system will have more "deep" and meaningful or complex buffs on it for each class and not just plain things like +5% atk , +100 hp etc.... All we can do is wait and see ^.^;...
I could see it being something like spend skills where they have similar effects but you have to pick one out of a couple each branch and you're able to use them on specific classes for specific servants. For example 1 branch for each class could have you pick between buff success rate, debuff success rate, or debuff resistance and even tho it's the same branch for each class you might choose to pick the buff success rate for sabers for your umu while you choose the debuff success for your berserkers for your Arjuna alter. If it lets you move the skills around like command codes then it could lead to customized characters for each account based on what you want a specific servant to get.

Seems overly complicated for a new game mode, hopefully it is actually interesting and worth the effort.

what is complicated about it? it's almost linear. you just unlock a node and now you can unlock another node linked to it. I bet if anything it's gonna be underwhelmingly simplistic like append skills were.

Just look up the NIKKE Recycling Room. Its as simple as an RPG skill tree but for your specific class servants. Literally just attack and defense stat steroids (maybe).
I'm kind of thinking that the Arcade collab was needed before it as it will have information important in the upcoming story, like the main interludes in the past- which is what the Arcade collab reminded me of.if that's the case, they might have been delaying it until after the collab was released, as they had a set time frame for that.
What I hear is. New AP system for new quests, that drop new loot that unlocks new buffs.
I like hearing about new ways to upgrade my favorite Servents, and it seems like a system that at least has a better method of getting resources then how you get Fou Paws as well as Append Coins. Sounds like a time sink, which can be pretty awkward, but I personally take that over the previous mentioned items way of collecting resources. I just hope that the rewards for the time sink is gonna be a lot more impactful then Fous, the grinding is a little more then just a copy of grinding for Skill materials but with added bosses to slow you down, and maybe the skill tree could have some interesting execution or at least interesting effects in it
So... we have more things to farm to be able to use the Class Score...? Not sure how I feel about that part. Mat farming is already a pain in the ass as is, having less AP to spend on it because I need to farm Class Score items doesn't sounds very appealing to me. I hope the High Difficulty nodes are doable for anyone with a F2P setup and a bit of knowledge / a guide, and not just whales with so much firepower they don't know what to do with it. As for the type of buffs... I really wonder what are they going to do. I just hope they are worthwhile investments and not just something I have to do to lvl the playing field with the enemy only to reach the same status quo as before but with bigger numbers.

why people complain about farming. I played for 3+ years and I'm at the point where all the units I use are at 10/10/10 or at least 9/9/9, the rest are at 7/7/7 or above with rare exceptions. sometimes I don't even care about fully clearing the event shops when the mats that are on the list are something that I have above 200. I have some mats in amounts that are higher than what every unit in the game that uses it requires. the only thing that I might have shortage is QP after grailing some units. only because it's capped after each loto. and even if a servant I'm gonna use needs some new mat that I had no time to farm it takes at most a week of just burning daily AP, and that takes like 10 minutes of 3t farming. Even if you can not 3t farm after a year of playing a game as f2p I had teams that could farm by facecarding without using skills.

@@Zeon081 It is a massive timesink of rote, repetitive, unengaging gameplay. Assuming 10 my minutes per day, every day, for 3 years, that is ~182 hours of grind. That number is also non-representative as it takes accounts a significant amount of time to be able to build up a roster that can farm efficiently and does not include the time to organize teams, non-farming quests, adjust to limited time event mechanics, consider those who missed important welfares or good sources of high-demand materials, or reading the story scenes. This game is a bigger time sink of terrible grinding than most mmorpgs which are notorious for that being a problem.
Seems my triple buster copium for Saber Giles remains dead still.
Pessimistic honestly. I wouldn't call it a new game mode. Sounds like its just normal free quests with an additional gate on them. Upgrading your favorite DPS class is nice but it doesn't sound exciting yet.
If Sosho is connected directly to this Ordeal Call "gamemode," then I think it makes sense to delay the story until a week or so after the introduction of the mechanic. It gives people time to fiddle with the new mechanic and figure out how it works, before dumping the story on top of that.

So... Three Stormpods per day, to run new quests on the Blank Earth; free quests to earn Sand, and high difficulty quests for Torches, to unlock Nodes and Gates on each Classes' Sphere. Except it's nine spheres, and the game has thirteen classes of more than a single servant (SAL RCA B RAMc AeFP) + Shielder Mash + Beast Draco.

I'm assuming they are gonna lump the extra classes together like those limited-time, guaranteed 5 star banners. 7 nodes for the standard classes with an Extra Class node one and Extra Class node two.
Copy system is not a crime (mostly). Once implemented and moving forward, i hope content creators who share battle simulation of events (cq) or story (boss battles) also share not only the party comp of servants and ce equipped but the class score routes as well.
I think this system could be used to fix the hit counts of old units and I hope they use it for that. Anyways I will see what Jp does with this system for the next two years before make any commitments.

Buff Anastasia? Buff Jack first! She needs a buff to her 3rd and maybe first skill like bad. 1* servants have 3-5 lines on their skills and Jack's like targeted 2k heal... Yeah
More dead weeks.......yay.......
