Been using an electric tooth brush for so many years. I forgot how to brush manually.

Hi, I just purchased the prestige after watching your video and appreciate the information. I had a Foreo Issa 2 and it broke within a week to a month and had to get replaced until the warranty ran out. I suspect I'll have much better luck with the prestige!

I have the Oral-B Genius, I'm left wondering why I never had electric toothbrush each time I brush my teeth. Is brilliant feels like you've been to dentist for a clean each brush. Thanks to my dentist for recommending electric toothbrush

Will you ever review an ultrasonic brush such as the Megasonex which claim to be more effective than standard sonic brushes such as the Phillips?

Yes we will probably do so. However it is not a top priority for us. We have other products we would like to cover before this.

Amazing channel! So much deep info. Cheers! I, myself, am going buy one of those 2 models You review here but have serious question i think maybe You could answear. My wife has some receding gums problem (genetics) and her dentist suggest that she should use ONLY SONIC toothbrush, but from what i've read online (also on your channels) modern electric and sonic brushes are both safe is used properly and there is no really a difference between those two models in terms of gums issues.

Thanks. Glad the content has helped. Yes, correct, as a general rule sonic or oscillating-rotating are equivalent and safe on gums including those that are receding based on the data we have available. More research could be done to clarify this. Some professionals do have preferences for one or more reasons. It is advisable to follow your wifes dentist recommendations because this should be given based on her personal circumstances and the dentist may have reasons to recommend this over another brand. If you are not sure, it is always worth questioning them and finding out why they recommend this over others. If you stick with their recommendation there is *potentially* a higher chance of positive outcomes at future dental checkups. I.E. The dentist can't say things have got worse/not improved because your wife is using the wrong toothbrush.

Annoying that you can’t change the modes on the genius x I’m sticking with my oral b 9000 genius electric tooth brush that is rose gold :) I still love my manual tooth brush 🙂

What country are you in? The Pro 2 2500 isn't usually available in countries where the currency is dollars. Oral-B Pro 2 2500 gives you all you need. Unless you particularly want the extra features of the 9000 and feel you would use them, then save the money.

how is the sonicare Philip prestige 9900 for someone with gum disease, also for someone planning to get pregnant next year? do you expect black friday sale? now on sale in US for 228 before tax normally 380. Before this I was considering Oral B io6 Thanks

It's perfectly fine for use in these instances. Technically it is more than you need. More affordable models such as the Sonicare 4100 clean comparably. I can't comment on black Friday sales. It's possible, but $228 is a very decent price for it. I'd be inclined to get this now if the Prestige is the one you want. The iO6 is better value generally.
