This arrangement was amazing and pulled those same feelings that the original song and movie did. Sure, it's a kids pokemon movie but when I watched it as a kid I loved it. And all the emotions came rushing back in a wave of nostalgia. The beginning gives us that quiet presence of Darkrai lurking in the shadows and then begins growing he becomes more central to the movie and the song reflects. Then the dramatic speed up gets your heart racing and the dramatic feel prepares you for what could be a battle and then the sudden drop to quiet piano and staccato strings with a dramatic and gradual build up makes the song seem alive and deep and mysterious as this simple melody grows and grows just as Darkrai's importance and significance increases. The the main melody comes back in strong and reinforces the prior musical statement. The dramatic cut off and start of a quiet piano at the end really accents the ending of the great battle of legends. Wondering who survived as the dust clears, and them the quiet fade as Darkrai slips away, but it not forgotten.

I want this on my wedding day. It's almost perfect, the only thing missing is the tolling bells. When it plays, my soul goes high and my heart breaths heavily. 💛

i hope this becomes a town theme in the sinnoh remakes
