So one pass with ONR to apply it to the surface and 'lift' the dirt to the top. Is it not best to take a second pass to remove the dirt before using a nice microfiber drying towel to dry the body? Otherwise youre just going to get a dirty drying cloth?

I think I'll stick to the Gary Dean Method of using multiple microfiber towel wash mediums and never introduce a dirty sponge back to clean solution.

Lol! Razor blades on paint and wet sanding. I learned how to detail in the mid 90’s from some former painters turned detail shop owners. DA’s weren’t a thing (heavy ass Milwaukee 7” antenna removing rotaries were though!). I’ve done some downright disrespectful stuff to some paint jobs in the name of correction. The modern clear coat is waaaay tougher than most folks realize. I agree with the theory of least aggressive methods to achieve results, but coming up when I did with who I did; I’m not scared to bang on some paint with a wool padded rotary or razor blade. Everyone walking around scared to death of creating a swirl or two these days.

However, in numerous other official videos, Optimum or Yvan have stated it leaves a polymer protective layer behind. So which one is it? I think I love this stuff, even though I haven't tried it yet. I don't get when he says onr leaves nothing on the paint and on other vids he says it leaves it protected . Whatever it is but it works

Awesome info in this video, just shows how marketing has led the industry where OPT is old school. So the big question is Matt, when will we see you demo the razor blade on your car?

amazing video, thank you! i learned so much. btw, Optimum...i know you on Amazon, but not all your products are Prime...so why would i pay $6 to ship at $13 product...makes no sense.

Because that's what it costs to ship things. We are so conditioned to get stuff for free. If you want Optimum to stay in business and keep making cool products, they need to make a profit. Or you could buy $100 worth of product and make the percentage shipping cost less.

So basically, onr is way better than a traditional two bucket wash. Why even continue with a two bucket traditional rinse, soap, agitate, rinse? I just started using ONR last winter to wash my car in my garage. It's fantastic.

I still prefer pressure washer and soap method for a dirty car. I will sprinkle in some more rinseless washes after this training. Wheel wells, tires, wheels, exhaust, door jams, etc all come out clean much easier after a good full washing.
