Hello Mr. Zastera. I'm a lover of art and former student of it from Poland and I'm absolutely mesmerized by this technique. I saw a video about your works today and begun my search for the details on optical contacting however there is very little info on it in my native language and what I've found in English is well, challenging my technical language skills to say the least ;) Could you share with me how it is done with glass, what exactly would I need and what are the limitations? Is it even possible to try this at home environment and without expensive professional tools/chemicals you have? I don't have more to offer in exchange than my sincere "thank you" and perhaps a bit of knowledge (or rather a nudge in the direction of it) you could use in the future about similar permanent bonding fenomenon possible with metal. Thank you for your time and keep creating amazing artworks.

Try this technique using 2 pieces of window glass or microscope glass slides make sure you bevel the edges first but not with diamond with grinding compound on glass or cast iron flat 20 micron or smaller use Kim wipes and new methanol or acetone also scrub with widex ...watch video again and do the same. Vaz

would this method work as a repair on older camera lenses that have balsam cement seperation ?

Can you recommend what Grit beyond a 325 grit would you use on the glass before going to a polishing disc to achieve this contact. I only have a flat lapping machine with discs.
