My first month with the Bambu Lab x1c

February! I felt like I had so many great ideas for this months video, and when it came time to publish I was only just starting. So here's what I finished and I am excited to keep getting better at this for next month!

yo! you can just open the empty bambu spool, peel off the cardboard from the esun and stick the filament with the inner cardboard right on the open bambu spool. works perfectly fine, i am doing eaxctly this right now :D greetings from germany!

The cardboard just peels off? Im so scared to try this... Would be a game changer for me though!

@aosterkamp eSun fillament perfectly matches the diameter of the bambu spools. Be careful with other brand fillament because they are not all compatible, and you could end up with the forbidden slinky.

oh snap that's so good to know! Thanks! I'll definitely try that with my next esun cardboard roll!

Can attest that it does work but be careful you don't let any filament strings slip or you'll get tangles Greetings from Switzerland!

@@JoelSchat I slide a knife between the cardboard inner and outer discs to separate them a little and then slide a zip tie in and connect another to it and secure the windings of the filament in three places, this is not completely necessary if you are careful but as I can remove the zip ties without cutting them its no biggy.

So if you didn’t know bambu labs x1 and others in the similar price point use what I only understand is a wiggle sensor and it uses the shakes and wiggles to make the print even faster

its called input shaping it doesnt make it print faster neccesarily it smooths out the visual imperfections that come with printing faster

I want to buy my first printer , the P1S. As begginer i just want to print PLA becuase i am worry about the microplastics betting to my lungs so encased printer was my first requirement. I have seen other videos where they remove the the glass plate to reduce temperature and improve adhesion. Couplea of questions: 1. Why you installed that AMS riser (exclusing the improve ligthing)? 2. How do you keep your filaments dry? I live in Houston RH about 70% to 90% , i am worry to damage the filaments if not stored properly. 3. Any video on how you builf that enclusure? Thanks Alex

Hi Alex, I have an X1 Carbon and despite the recommendation to open the door or lid when printing PLA I leave mine closed and have never had any issues with heat creep, the noise difference is massive also. Wow I wish a Bambu Lab was my first printer, my first printer in 2011 was a Mendel 90 kit but a colleague at work printed my plastic parts on the industrial machines we had there and later made them from highly polished aluminium, those industrial machines were over £20,000 and no where near as good as the Bambu Lab machines, they were extremely dimensionally accurate though but slow. You can get some reusable silica gel pellets and fine mesh bags and some vacuum bags to store the filaments, this is my method and it works great, to start off with there is a program on the printer that dries your filament but eventually you might be better off with a filament dryer, but made sure your dryer rotates the filament and has an extraction fan to evacuate the moist air.

On the AMS riser did you add supports for that print or just use the profile that you linked in the description? Thanks

I think I just used the profile and it did have supports for a few of the overhangs. Was the first time I printed with PETG supports for a pla print

Short answer is, none of this is required. People do it to give themselves something to do.

Or for ease of use. Do I want to move the AMS Everytime I need to take the glass lid off? No. Also the BL LED controller I got reads the printers status and turns off the extra LEDs whenever the lidar is being used

Your microphone is too hot on this video, sounds like clipping/ too high gain. The video quality is good so fixing your microphone issue will take it to the next level of quality.
