    This has to be said. Oppenheimer is absolute trash. Worst film of Nolan's Career. The only reason it was so popular to begin with is because Christoper Nolan is Hollywood's most agreeable director. Everybody loves him so much for his Dark Knight and Inception and Dunkirk that it was simply unacceptable for the audiences to get another TENET situation from him. Therefore, everybody collectively decided that Oppenheimer is the greatest thing ever, despite the fact that its a really dull film, dull to look at cinematographically, and absolutely annoying with its idiotic editing, all these speedy cuts, cut, another cut, cut, cut, cut, and then those embarrassing dialogues, need I remind you Matt Daemon screaming "this is the most important thing that ever happened?" wtf is wrong with youll?... But the public was not willing to accept that this is in fact a really poorly conceived film, probably the worst of Nolan's career, and they showered it with so much praise that the academy had no choice but to give it a criminally undeserving Oscar

    Dunkirk is not better than Oppenheimer. I think Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight, round out the top three in no particular order. Oppenheimer is a bio pic made into a blockbuster because of Nolan's vision.

    I agree with you. Definitly. Terrible. Nolan is a propaganda director for USA government. There was no critical review of this film. They even honored that monster in the final scene. In the last scene, the government gave him an award. There were no such things in the book. How to adapt? Clearly propaganda.@@upfulsoul826

  • @cemertem
    @cemertem2 ай бұрын

    Even though I love his movies, I have to admit that Nolan is the propaganda director of the US state. Oppenheimer is a murderer and a monster. This movie was produced for Americans. It has no equivalent in world societies. Oscar has done this many times before. They gave awards to American nationalist films such as The Hurt Locker and Argo. Academy was a shame. It was a dark night for the art of cinema! Why did they ignore Scorsese? Masterpieces such as Killers of the Floower Moon and Irishman were not rewarded. You are killing classical cinema. I guess seeking the rights of Indians was too much for some people. Likewise, the role of the insidious Jew who destroys the nation's property, played by Robert De Niro. Poor academy. Poor USA. Shame on you! Keep whitewashing American history, Nolan!

  • @OpheliaDarkling

    @OpheliaDarkling

    2 ай бұрын

    I agree that Scorsese's film should have been more talked about and I wish Lily had gotten an award for her beautiful portrayal. But do you understand the Oppenheimer movie was entirely based on the book American Prometheus which was ALL Oppenheimer's perspective?? It's like an autobiography, NOT a history book. You hate J. Robert Oppenheimer? GOOD. Have your opinion, but that's who the movie is about. It's not the end all be all history of WW2. Oppenheimer considered himself a patriot who initially wanted to bomb the Germans. J. Robert Oppenheimer is not a "world society" he is ONE man of guilty conscience with "blood on his hands" and that is EXACTLY what the movie portrays. A complicated historical person. And then for you to whine about Scorsese's Irishman film (about a CRIMINAL) not being awarded AND complaining about a biopic about Oppenheimer getting awards makes ZERO sense if you see them both as antagonists. Read the book American Prometheus, compare it to the film and that is how Oppenheimer is presented. This movie was produced for anyone interested in seeing the world thru Oppenheimer's mind through moments in his life. The script is written in first person as J. Robert Oppenheimer. This movie isn't whitewashing, it's about the man in the 1940's in that perspective! You do understand what perspective means, right? This wasn't a documentary, it was a biopic. Hey, the Academy and any award entity has problems, I agree. HUGE diversity and fairness issues in awards. But you are clearly hellbent on grievances and bitterness. Your "insidious Jew" comment is you saying the quiet part loud. Examine yourself. Perhaps with time you'll understand the purpose of the film and understand the artistic intent and the artistic license taken to portray Oppenheimer. Or continue life in bitterness and anger. Good luck.

    @@OpheliaDarkling I know it's based on a book. But many scenes of the film are clearly critically lacking. Moreover, the final scene of the movie is a shame. As you know, there is a praise in that final scene. The award is presented on that stage. Is there anything like this in the book? That scene is openly praising the that period US government and Oppenheimer! For what???!!!
