I've been down a Aurora live rabbit hole for days now sobbing my eyes out. You should watch the entire Aurora HAIK, a musical portrait/celebration of her. It's in Norwegian but some translated it and posted it here on youtube. Pure and utter healing magic 🪄

Aurora is like The Very Essence Of Life Itself.

I'm a grown man and this song mad me cry into my wife's shoulder the whole second half of it. Her body language as well as the lyrics somehow expressed emotions I was incapable of expressing myself for so long.

As strange as it may seem, a lot of metal heads fall in love with Aurora's performance.

There are really no words to fully describe her music. She is alien, as is an angel. She has spiritual power that connects directly to our souls.

I nick named her the human siren cause you get suck into her voice and the world melts away i can only imagine how amazing it would be to see her performing live in a professional music hsll

She is her own genre. She is Aurora. Ethereal. Otherworldly. Enlightened. Angelic. A gift from heaven and mother earth to teach and remind the world what is truly important. I feel so blessed to have her, and am so thankful she has chosen to speak to us all.

She was so young when she sung this and she just getting better and better. You can hear how she has evolved over the years. No auto-tune here I tell you. She is the real deal.

I've only heard a few songs by Aurora but every single one has turned me into a puddle. She truly is a treasure.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you have to do the Nidarosdomen concert, preferably the whole thing 😬 otherwise maybe at least It happened quiet 😉

It is on stage Aurora really comes alive. She is something out of a fairytale. This was live by the way.

Live at the Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) in 2017, will transport you even more and Aurora looks as though she stepped out of a Botticelli painting. In fact, that whole concert is akin to a Renaissance masterpiece.

Someone is always cutting onions around me when I watch these emotional Aurora songs for some reason.

Aurora to me is as close as one can get to listening to the pure sounds of nature, but with lyrics. When I listen to her I can hear the wind blowing over a pristine snow covered mountain meadow. Creek water running over moss covered stones in a deep forest and mixed in with those beautiful sounds are sporadic notes of a brittle, but perfectly tuned bell ringing true...

Girl, congratulations on holding back your tears, seirously.

She is one of those artists that you need to see on a live show. It's not only about music, it's a whole experience in itself. She gives you hope for a better humankind. And she is so 100 % into her songs when performing that she needs 2 seconds at the end of them to reconnect to reality. And so spontaneous when speaking between the songs ... I went a couple of time to her concerts, never been disappointed. I suggest you to check an artist from the Faroe, Her name is Eivør and she as a really beautiful voice and mesmerising songs. 'Falling Free" live in Thorshavn is a good start point, I guess

@@user-ph1gp8nr5u Well, I attended 4 concerts from Aurora and 5 from Eivor, they are both on my top artists list to see live. So, how to rate the difference between them? I'd say that if Aurora was giving a performance 10 km away from my house and the same day, Eivor was giving a show 400 km away from home, I'd decide for Eivor not taking much time to think than until the next blink of my eyes. It's just a completely different level of performance.

As I said, I already went to 4 gigs of hers and the very first one was even before she had released her first album. So I didn't wait for you to know how good and extremely talented she is. What I'm telling you is, having witnessed Eivor and Aurora multiple times on their live performances, that the gap between those 2 artists is huge, considering the vocal abilities and the overall experience. Aurora is a top artist when Eivor is out of this world

She's from Bergen where their accent has a sharper R than most Norwegian accents so the way you said it in French is pretty similar to how Aurora herself would pronounce her name

This performance brings tears to my eyes every single time, That last note is like the most beautiful punch to the gut. I don't know what it is. It's not the voice, or the harmonies, though both are divine. It's something in the chord progressions, the way the notes bend, the subtle dissonance. Whatever it is, it goes deep. I think this is one of the most profoundly beautiful things I've ever heard.

I agree. Sometimes it can be so hard to describe Aurora and her music. She is so iconoclastic and always so original. Also, I've heard her talk about how involved she in the the production of her music and her music videos. She really loves that. I just discovered her about 3 months ago and I am still finding gems out there.

In 2016 Aurora Aksnes received a lot of hate from a few Oasis' fans, because she covered "Half the world away". Some of them said she popped up because of that cover to, soon, be forgotten. How foolish they were. She is not a world-popular singer, but she is a world-class talent, and beyound.

Her entire concert at Nidarosdomen is spectacular, especially It Happened Quiet.

Aurora simply the best singer songwriter out there,no one comes close to how she turns music into a pure art form one word Genius.

A very nice reaction to a, in my opinion, one of a kind artist that can write lyrics, can compose melodies, can sing, can play instruments, can dance, can produce, can direct (yes she directed for example a mv for another norwegian band), well maybe it would be quicker to say what this girl can't do. Simply love her, being a metalhead else. Interestingly, Aurora likes metal too, Gojira (french metal band) seems to be one of her favorites. And yes, she inspires others. Billie Eilish said in an interview that watching Aurora's 'Runaway' Video triggered her to start a career in music.

Aurora is new to me,but I can clearly hear influences from norwegian folk music,which is truly beautiful. So now we've got two norwegian angels,Aurora and Angelina.

You have to listen to her stripped versions and concerts too. They are never the same as on spotify. The stripped ones go straight to your soul and heart and her concerts show her energy and connection with her audience. Her artistry truly shines in her covers and Into the Unknown is a fine example of that.

"There are no words..." while wiping tears pretty well sums up Aurora and her music. :) If you get the chance to watch her Nidarosdomen concert (NRK put it on KZread) she plays with an orchestra and choral backup in some numbers. The harp figures in quite a lot - not surprisingly. She does an exquisite performance of "Through the Eyes of a Child" at this concert, as well.

Stunning voice, a great songwriter, producer and performer, a very complete artist and a master of her art. This is a beautiful and very simple but very powerful song, I absolutely love her

I love Aurora too. Her live performances are captivating. For your own personal enjoyment there's a concert she gave in a church that is absolutely beautiful. For a KZread reacts video I'd suggest Murder song live at the Oscars

When a human strokes your skinn That is when you let them in. The melody and vocals just draw you in. And like the melody the lyrics are simple , but very strong. I love this. Listening to this makes me feel I'm living. There's positivity, sadness, brilliance, love and eargasms in every chord and harmony and vocal line. And like a child finding a new toy, warriors stop fighting when Aurora performs.

She is special!! that's for sure! We need to hear more from Aurora!

You must WATCH Aurora's live performances more as they are complete art... singing is just a part of of the expression. Nice to find another warrior/weirdo. :)

I love AURORA's music also. I definitely recommend her song Black Water Lilies. It's incredible.

Being of age and having 'adequate' favorites I'd like to draw your attention to Aurora's cover (rather interpretation) of David Bowie's famous "Life On Mars" in NRK video. She is playing a Fender Rhodes while singing. Quite popular piano at times Bowie's song originated. Pretty sure David would have liked it. And guess you might, too. It's not "OR" is NORWEGIAN. In Norwegian we pronounce every letter in her name, meaning "AU" doesn't just become an "O", but rather two different sounds, one for each letter. I'm tryinig to think of an english work that uses those sounds (that sound combination), but can't right now. I'm gonna have to get back to you on that.

The way you pronounced Aurora (the french way) is pretty close to how she would pronounce her own name. Aurora is from Bergen on the west coast of Norway where they pronounce R's almost exactly like you do.

Many of Aurora's live versions here on KZread are quite different from the studio versions. Sometimes two different live performances of the same song are very different. My favorites tend to be the most intimate, most acoustic, but they're all great. Do explore more of her videos, you will enjoy them so much.

Aurora gets to me too! What you say. Ive always felt different, but she makes that all okay 🥰. Also, I play the piano, but also I think the harp is so beautiful. I have always been in love with it and I wish I could play it.
