Opening presents in our chateau kitchen!
In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZread earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Hi Stephanie, just had to comment to let you know the Australian bush and outback are completely different……the bush is thick with trees, undergrowth and the outback is barren with very low shrubs with very red dirt. I’ve lived in the outback and now I live in the bush both are very beautiful on its own. Those Australian products are lovely and useful. Lovely vlog thank you 🇦🇺😊

I love seeing people using the calamity mugs I sent. It gives me so much joy to see one of them on the table or in the background. They're so silly. I'll have to come visit someday so I can try them myself.

To Philips question “is the Australian bush the same as the Outback” not really. The “bush” is really our forest areas, and the Outback generally refers more desert like areas across the very broad centre parts of Australia.

One of the ads I watched today during Cadeaux was for Alzheimer's research....thought it was a great ad due to you supporting a similiar organization with past ad revenue! Keep up the great work!! PS still advocating for you to do an Amazon store front with all the great book titles you receive...😊
How wonderful are the indigenous gifts. I noted that the holder is in the colours of the aboriginal flag, the red for the earth the black for the people and of course the sun. The bush and the outback are slightly different.. we have bushland everywhere just outside of most cities. The outback is referred to more remote countryside miles from most civilisation an example would be in the remote parts of central Australia or western Queensland or most of Western Australia. Australia is largely populated in the coastal regions due to the harshness of our interior regions

I'm lucky enough to live near native bushland that still has beautiful pink wild Boronia growing - across the road from a new multi million dollar hospital! Indigenous Australian art is indeed beautiful... Can't wait to see Dan in his new T-shirt! ❤🦘
Such warmth and happiness are shared with the world through your antics together, you are all such a blessing and inspiration to laugh and be happy despite our circumstances, such grand houses and architecture is not as common in little old Melbourne Australia thank you.
