Okay this is just a random thing that my chinchilla does. So whenever I go to sleep or get ready to go to bed. My chinchilla will go straight to his little wooden hides, and fall asleep as well. And it is so stinking cute!

Mine died this weekend I have a hut and he tried to go through the small window thingy and he got stuck (I was not home) and he gave up (thats what I think happened bc when I found him hanging his head out of it) I barely picked him up and knew he was dead I was so close to him and I ran crying to my dad (my dad started crying)I dmed u awhile ago asking questions bc I had just got him u rly helped me figure out what to do I rly miss him and every time I see that hut I wanna straight up break it if u see this I literally love u I have been watching for like 3 and a half years 💕

omg, so sorry for your chinnie 😢 my chinchilla that ive had for almost four years past away this august bc of a little heat stroke. i live in california and although im aware it’s constantly warm here, his ac didn’t go on bc of the power outages california had. i was in literal tears blaming myself. i miss my little baby so much :’(

@@alondraitzel2290 awww I’m sry. I had 1 (other chin)chins when he died so I still have one of them but I’m still heart broken bc he was the sweetest chin and I waited 3 years to get one

My chinchilla ChiChi died a year ago this month. He was 18 years old. I still miss him. I used to let him out of his cage and he would run and bounce off the walls.

Thank u so much for all of the information and help that u give so many people (including myself)!! What u do is such an amazing thing! Quick question- for Christmas, I was given an Oxbow Timothy Apple Lollipop where Timothy hay is like crushed and put together into the shape of a lollipop, and it has air dried apple pieces in it as well. I've tried to do my research, but I decided to just ask you directly to be sure- is it safe for chinchillas to have air dried apples? I want to make sure before I give it to her (or don't give it to her if it's not safe). Again thank you so much for all of your help!!

Hi, I was wondering if 73 degrees is too hot for a chinchilla, and if having a fan next to the cage would help at all?

It’s a little on the warmer side. I would go for anything under 70 degrees. A fan just creates an air draft instead of cooling down the air without a draft 💕

You can probably make some yourself or buy them on Etsy. She has lots of videos on chinchilla liners. She recently posted a review video on some.

3' by 2' length x width. Not sure about the half panbels or the one with a hole. Also, the critter nation and ferret nations are siimilar, but the ferrets are a little taller, and have rack on the bottom. The ferret is also cheaper, but it is harder to work with the bigger bar spacing. They aren't quite as customizable for ledges, hay sacks/racks, or food and water. We used to breed chins, and I know they haven't changed in this way. Oh! I almost forgot! The metal pannels are cheaper if you just want to buy the metal replacement pannels. It's what I use. They are also easier to brush poop off of, as the little pellets get stuck in the fibers. + it'll be kept cooler for the summer, too...

If they’re seeming friendly off the bat, that’s a good sign! You can try to interact and let them out within a few days. That’s how Merlin was 💕
