This video is a classic example of how incredibly smart miners were, and have to be today. Throughout history, there has kinda been the implication that to be a miner was the job of the simple or unintelligent, and that is just simply not the case. The amount of research, knowledge, application and intuition to be a successful miner is immense. This video is a great glimpse into an incredibly complicated field.

Thank you for the detailed tour, nearly as good as being there, The folding of the meta-sediments was very clear with the saddle reef gold vein in your stope really standing out. Your Blacksmith portal follows the hinge of the fold and clearly there are stacked roll-over veins. The foliations were mainly deformed cleavage which would be in my view key to mapping out your vein system, I see both saddle veins and shear veins hosted in the steep limb of the fold and in the fold hinge zone. The large 6 foot offset is a reverse fault, likely formed during the folding event and coincident with continued vein emplacement. I would guess the folding event is related to regional thrust movement, which I would think is partly represented by those kinematic striations observed on the low angle surfaces. Anyway....... nothing a good map and some detailed structure analysis could sort out.

You are very lucky to be able to show that on camera and discuss about the intrusive volcanisation and re infilling of the host rock has happened, after two years of Geology at uni plus a field visit to survey the old Roman mine working at Dolaucothi in West Wales we would have seen that more clearly in you geological situation as the veins at that site were very vuggy and in a situation where they were very thin requiring a lot of extraction to get a decent amount of ore to smelt.

Soo much opportunity to extend those working with qualified company that could map you the whole orebody to a greater scale! Nice video thank you! 😊 some of our deposits have 3rd,4th generation that bring out the visible gold, 1st and 2nd pass are barren, that crazy how geology is, it soo complex more than a engine mechanics, when you do 45° stope, drill pin hole to sit a 8x8 timber across floor, so when you blast, the muck will not slide all down, allowing you to get the next round much easier, and drive your stope till you depleted the veins, but i tell ya, its big work to drill back hole, the worse is punching with 6ft rod, but when it done its alright, the loading part should be done with an a pneumatic amex loader, with of course anfo type explosives to carry powder to the hole up here, after the stope done, you have to remove the 8x8 brazes and blow ore down with a blowpipe, recommend you muck scoop to ease the work instead of a slusher! Its soo much mining method involves in this place for sure! Plenty of techniques to ease the mining to the simplest way! Hope to kick some hint to ease your work!

That's amazing, you can see at least 4 faults from the outside of that mountain where there's little valleys that nothing is growing there and you can also tell they worked most of them because of the big slack dumps all along the mountain. LOL Dale looks like a Dale.. or a Drew. It'd be really interesting to throw a couple yards of the gravel/dirt out of those faults through a little test trommel and see if there's gold in the surface sluff like how Dan was testing the dirt at his Blue Chip Mine last year. You need to grow a long goatee because you're definitely part mountain goat. You climb up things that most people couldn't. 31:48 there's a nice pocket of sulfides right there at the top by the hanging wall just flashing silver in your light.

This vid contains SO MUCH information I had to watch it twice to process what is so obvious to the two of you! Lol But, it was well worth the extra time invested. I would love to see one of the 3-D maps of your claim (at least the first of the four veins) referenced in the early part of the vid. Sure the logistics would be daunting, but just a suggestion for you to ponder, as it appears you will be working this mine for many years and it would really be helpful to noobs like me. Extraordinary and highly addictive series. Love how you include guests in your vids.

Some underground core drilling would be a big help to test out your hypothesis, to understand vein orientation, thickness, etc all to be a big assist in mine planning. Great series. Looking forward to more videos like this! Mining is incredible!

I'm seeing a lot of pyrite especially during the closeups at the end, well not surprised with this epithermal deposit. Thanks for sharing most people never get to enter a mine to see this sort of stuff so thanks for sharing.

Jason and Dale ! Very nice work on the Vid !! The problem i have is the headache following your video. When I am exposed to a learning experience it induces rather severe "Brain Pain'. In this case, accompanied by an irresistible compulsion to go prospecting.

You should have just ran a zip line from the stope down to the road to get the ore down to your pickup instead of zigzagging it down to the blacksmith shop. Awesome stuff you got going on there Jason! Excited for you and excited to see what you all end up pulling out of your mine!

This is so very Cool, I would travel with my dad, a graduate of Colorado School Of Mines, ...from Yakima WA...ha. He would also describe all the geological features and where Gold could be found. I am so glad you are talking this over with a geologist, More information make a better miner!

More information around the mine and the ideas your working along to truely helps while watching and makes sense why u taregt areas over others with confidence you have researched enough and tested enough that u can leave low grade pay taking the cream of your crop u really give information even a dumb fellow like myself can understand i love mining and previous material hunting. I appreciate you taking rhe time and forever leaving these videos for future generations... Cant wait for the massive gold bar at the end of this season adventure i hope u cover costs and get a head start on next season from the mines riches and ofc makes enough to pay the boys a decent amount they have been the back done of your mining adventures too
