That’s all you got out of this video? That I don’t like SF Sorrow? Haha! The Pretty Things were a truly great Rock’n’roll band. They threw it all away for the LSD fad. SF Sorrow is weird, meandering and wimpy. And they never recovered after that venture. They should’ve left the drug music thing to the Beatles and Pink Floyd. Thanks Jon! I completely missed they were having this sale. Nice to hear a preview of some of before ordering. My Norton collection was mostly just stuff from the Flat Duo Jets and the Lyres...cool to pick up some older classics that I think my wife will even dig. - Scotty

Thanks Jon, i just went ahead and bought a bunch of records in this sale. I snagged that Dion record and the Pretty Things ep with Rosalyn, as well as a handful from Norton/Sun series with a different artist on each side. I only have issues with scratchy records when the scratches are as loud or louder than the music. I'm getting a big box of 45s today and it will be a surprise what I get. This guy sends a massive email list. I pick what I want and then prioritize them. I pay for all of them. He does his best to give me everything I want and sends a check for what he can't fill. I've got great stuff in the past so I can't wait to see what shows up. My wife had some experience with Kim Fowley but she doesn't talk about those times of her life. I can only guess why.

Some great single...can't go wrong with Gene Vincent. Really dug the Tico and the Triumphs. The Oriental thing is pretty funny, because Asians here in the US are super offended by it, Japanese and Chinese record collectors eat that stuff up, they love it. Not sure about the Koreans, don't know any that are collectors, but in Japan those singles are super sought after.

Hey Steve! Thanks for dropping by! Yeah, that Asian stuff is tough. It’s not overtly racist or mean spirited. Definitely insensitive caricatures mixed with clueless bands trying to sound exotic. I have an LP compilation of that stuff that the shop owner gave me for free. He said just take it out if the store before someone complains. It’s mostly instrumentals. There is a really cool boot CD of all the early Simon and Garfunkel incarnations and bands from the fifties to early sixties that has some genuine excellent RnR tracks. They were talented.
