That's a very lengthy way of saying Quier-Star is an AGI level reasoning without limbs. Hence the focus on energy and computation increase. I have doubts that jimmy itself is AGI, hence why it cannot be found who it is, and some of its posts makes sense if you look at it that way.

It seems to me, that looking at the whole picture and iterating over it, must certainly be a fundamentally better approach, than predicting the next piece of a puzzle, when it comes to quality output. It probably would take way more compute to reach the same speed though.

I can't take all these shocks, it's too much :) Q* is just an exploration of new learning algorithms which you would expect them to do, might well be inspired by LeCun's thinking and Sam stated and I think it's true that they haven't cracked anything yet. Certain social media dramatic people that shall go unnamed have a pronounced bias in their story generation for cinematic dramatic interpretations. Notice Sam says GPT sucks in frustration. While it is amazing it is also holed because it is created as a hack on a hack. There is no AI architecture, it's a piece of clay that massive human natural language exhibition is imprinted on. An echo of the real thing. If it had the real thing it would shoot past human intelligence with just enough compute. Both Sam, Lecun and I basically say that a lot is still missing. And it could be much harder than what has so far been done.
