Opel, which was founded by Adam Opel in 1862, initially produced sewing machines. Adam Opel, which started manufacturing bicycles in 1886, was the leader in both sewing machines and the high-wheeled bicycle market. After the death of Adam Opel in 1895, his two sons and his wife decided to produce cars. They received support from Friedrich Lutzmann for this. The first Opel car was produced in 1899. Even though Opel cars are not as popular as Ford or Volkswagen they are still amazing. Especially cars such as the GT and the Manta, which I think are one of the most beautiful Opel cars made. Plus also heard that the first corvette of the 50s was actually a project of Opel while being under GM.

I've watched Manta at rallies many times. Especially the sound of Manta 400 was great...
Realy enjoyed that , being a car enthusiast and Vauxhall . Many Vauxhall cars I have owned being Opel based

Some nice old cars here - especially the stuff from the 70s - Monza, Manta, Rekord etc. From the 1990s onward they were a bit of a bore.
