For me a tutorial means that you explain with words and acts, not just a video with acts; I would like to say that you did a good job but you failed to install the filter correctly, turned upside down, so I can not say good job. but a good effort, appreciate it. :) People learn a lot from own (or others) mistakes and then not make the same mistake twice. So thanks anyway. Keep on posting!

You put the filter on the wrong side: Lock at the black side strip on the old filter (closer to the front of the car 2:04), and on the new one you insert at 2:47, it is closer to you.

Very good tutorial indeed. For the engineer who decided that the filter will be there and in that position (I mean on air fan). I will punish him, to change 10 filters per day, for one year. I hope you will understand ;)

Could you write in the descriptions of your videos what tools are required? It would be annoying to remove the outer part just to figure out you don't have the necessary tools to continue the job.

hey guys nice video's. I got a opel astra gtc 2007 .is there a simple way to install a needle sweep .

there are 3 tough tabs to slightly bend to get cover off filter. 1 at very bottom and 2 at the top. after you remove the 3 screws for the filter cover. need flashlite and strong fingers

Apologies, but when you take out the filter there is a black vertical stripe on the side of the filter that is facing the front side of the car. When you insert the new one, that black strap is facing the back side of the car. Which one is the correct one?

I just changed mine and the correct orientation is the one when it was taken out (foam stripe facing forward) - you should also see printed arrows on the body of the filter indicating airflow direction and the airflow direction is from front to back (through grille and into the duct). Btw. the trick seems to be not in the bending (I bent it so much it folded over there), but pressing the top side of the filter down further in, until it clears some obstruction and then the filter starts sliding freely in. Hard to describe, but feel around the top of the filter space and you will notice some pipe or something that interferes with the insertion. I also agree in removing the lower cover and air duct, not only for the additional room, but also for getting more of the stuff caught behind and around the filter out.

Рекомендую из жестянки вырезать по размеру фильтра пластину . Сначала вставить ее в качестве направляющей , далее вставлять по ней фильтр. После установки фильтра пластину из жести нужно вытащить. Вытаскивается она легко.

Well done, but pay attention with the airflow direction. Also its not much work to remove the air nozzle and its cladding, so you have more working space in the legroom.

U can fit 2-3 fingers behind the airfilter when u put in and click in place 🦾👍🏼

Thank you for making this video. I have never replaced my cabin filter and my car is 8 years old. I had not, until now, seen such a clear depiction of the process. I think I'll go try it now. Too bad I can't share a picture of how awful this thing is going to look after 8 years.

Ok. That took about 45 minutes. My filter cover was slightly different (2008) evidently. Your video showed two screws where mine had three along with two clips at the top and one at the bottom which required removing an additional trim panel from the footwell. Frustrating and time consuming was trying to get the new filter into place. Still very doable for anyone with a couple of basic tools.

this Filter is one of the easyest filter to change. Go and try to change one by an nissan quashqai or an ford

Salut ! Imi puteti spune va rog cum se poate schimba rezistenta de la aeroterma pentru un Astra H ? Mai exact, unde se gaseste si care este procedura de inlocuire. Tin sa mentionez ca ventilatoarele merg doar pe treapta 4 si am inteles ca aceasta rezistenta ar fi problema. Cu mari multumiri, va salut !

da are, se schimba in fiecare an sau la fiecare 15.000 km parcursi oricare din cele doua conditii se implinesc mai repede
