Lauren's story is Disney movie inspirational. She was my favorite WNBA player and it was painful watching her career end with the injuries. I don't even know how it was possible for her to ever play again and I about fell on the floor when I saw she was playing a few years back. As a fan I could not be more proud of her perseverance and as American I will have to throw away my country loyalty and Cheer for the Opals and Lauren in Paris. I still am holding on to a little sliver of hope that after the Games a WNBA team will sign her for the rest of season and let her have an farewell tour (Looking at you Seattle). Lauren deserves to end her WNBA career on her own terms as well.
Cant wait to watch the opals play!

The Opals are a real chance at a silver medal at Paris. Although unlikely (in my opinion), a gold medal is not impossible if they play to their full potential (and maybe have a little bit of luck).

You are correct on that as a matter of fact the American sports caster Bruce Beck would be talking to her about the Australian team and New York Liberty players in the Olympics.
Good squad, a medal chance but 2-3 short from the best. Rocci or Reid, Atwell or Kunek or both, all unlucky to miss.
