Kinda happens to me and I'm a ginger. I need extra shots at the dentist and when I was little I once got general anesthesia I think for some stitches because laughing gas wouldn't calm me down. I think usually they only do local anesthesia for stitches.

@@camille744 I had my wisdom teeth pulled (well, cut out) and I felt everything. It was awful. Now that I'm older I always let my dentist know that I need more anesthetic since I'm a redhead.

I am a natural ginger. When I was a child I had a head injury and it needed to be stiched up. The doctors gave me the regular amount of anesthetic and through out the whole surgery, I've felt every needle poke, and the threads going through my flesh. It was painful yeah, but I thought that this is normal and I've brought this upon myself so I did not say a word to the doc. :)
