It's so sad ! Here in north Africa you can't report a sexual harassment because cops will not do anything for you and there's no law will protect us from sexual assault ! I always get sexual harassment every day and I've never reported it !

I am a german Girl ,live in the near of Cologne. I was also touched by a foreigner. The police didn't take me seriously. The judiciary in Germany is laughable .

It was made very clear why in the video... they didn't have good enough evidence to prosecute.. Hardly surprising under the circumstances. Large crowds, it dark, poor CCTV etc. So unless your solution is to just punish every middle eastern / north African person, what would you suggest?

The us has more diversity and a longer history of it. The whole “immigrate somewhere you have to adhere to their culture” is NOT a common belief in the US as it is in the UK. The US has been multi-ethnic for centuries and multicultural for just as long. Germans get mad at seeing arabic signs, Brits mad at hindi, etc But my cereal, video games, tax documents, tools, instructions at work, etc are all in both English and Spanish. Put another arabic on food stuff in the UK and people will flip, but any language on food stuff here and no one cares. As long as you work and aren’t nuisance, nobody cares what cultural or religious background you have.

She and her friend we out shopping in the afternoon, and a group of immigrant young men surrounded them in the street. And started to sexual assault them. I have spoken to insiders in refugee service in .etherlands , already 15 years ago this man told me the highest rate was estimated 5 percent to be real refugees, fled their country to save their lives ... The rest was economical migrants playing the victim card. Nowadays migrants are even more informed through internet. And so, like a friend of my told in another Europe country, migrants show on their mobil phone how the refugee center should look like ,and they will stay in the bus ,expecting them to be driven to the place which they think it should look like. Well,in my humble opinion, if you ran for your life, you will be happy with any dry and warm shelter with food. And go from there. The other 95 percent of them.... Funny thing is, if you apply for a genuine visa, like say, to visit family or friends, or even for sports, tourism or in rare cases study, you may not get one. True... Same with UK pre brexit.. I applied for tourism visa to attend marriage of my cousin who is British citizen... I have stable bank job in India and earn 7 figure salary.. I have my own house and other substantial assets here... Yet my Visa was rejected on grounds that I don't have incentive to return! But they have allowed numerous illegal immigrants there who are surviving on meagre benefits there or sometimes even without any benefits.

I guess they thought that if they were welcomed and accommodated, then they will find their humanity and their own place. Many did, but many didn't. That is the danger of accepting anyone willie-nillie. I blame it on just accepting purely men and only men.. You need to say "to be fair, we will accept equal amounts of men and women". This will not immediately cause an end to all troubles, but at least this will almost half the amount of violence that you have to deal with. + it is an honest extending of hand for help, because why should only the strongest get the opportunity?

And, even if they do 'respect' their mother and sisters (in their own, reduced way; by limiting their rights, making them cover up, praying at the back of the mosque etc etc), they still look at western/non-muslim women as 'sluts' (anyone not wearing a burka etc) who they think they can do what they want with. Your government has seriously failed you. However, my mom and aunts said that the problem has been that Germans have stopped marrying, stopped going to church and do not have children as before. In my mom's family there were 9 kids. Most families back in the day procreated and were Catholics, at least in Bavaria. My mom married an American soldier. I was born there. My aunts all had at least 4-6 children were married and had great moms and dads. In the early 80s, I noticed my cousins were not getting married and just living here and there with a dude. Churches were empty. I do not know the logistics, but I do remember one of my aunts complaining that young people don't go to church, don't get married and maybe have 1 kid. I am married with 4 kids in the US, and will be a grandmother again soon. (can't wait) My mom married an auslander (my dad was born in Ecuador, but is a US citizen since 1957)

Seeing that video of the girl being dragged off screaming by a group of men to be raped inside a sea of men was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen.

For example, learning French while knowing Vietnamese should be easier than learning Cantonese while learning Vietnamese despite China being right beside Vietnam. Assuming he speaks French normally, then English is actually easier than German. So yeah, basically I agree.

This sounds premeditated. Did they have a Facebook or some group where they planned this? I think the cops could get the main "group" by threatening the convicted rapists and their families' immigration status if they don't reveal everything. Or can they threaten them they'll serve their sentences back in their countries and face execution? Or threaten to send them to Guantanamo bay or something to torture them into revealing the truth? I’m from a small country & we had/have refugees from Middle East & they aren’t in the city. The government gave them their own land to stay, houses, food, etc. Some did complain or said that they miss home & would like to go home. There was a man that abused his wife & police took him & the man said that, that was part of his culture. The women there are very submissive compared to wester woman I saw. They go from a country were women usually doesn’t show an inch of skin to more exposed women, which isn’t a excuse to assault them. Today people like the police don’t even want to touch people of color/foreigners because they are afraid of losing their jobs. There were criminals of color that did terrible things & the media doesn’t want to talk about it because of not wanting to “increasing negative stereotypes”. The government are snowflakes that don’t want to do anything because they don’t want to be called names. It beyond corruption we are living. It’s just evil.

It's messed up. And if the citizens take actions, they lock up the citizen?! Messed up mentality. And the women that the Muslims assault are teenagers and young girls just coming out of school. It's vile. CITIZENS SHOULD TAKE ACTION.

If I go to another country, I would probably show my best behaviour, integrate into the society and be ethical because I represent India. It has definitely something to do with the culture (Islamic culture)

Ignorance to the core. There are over a billion muslims worldwide from different cultures. Islam is a religion, not a culture. Just because you have political/social problems with Pakistanis doesn't mean that Bosnians and Albanians and Kazakhs and Indonesians are just like your Pakistani neighbors. You are saying that all those people are the same because they are muslim. That's like saying that a German and an Eritrean and a Filipino are the same because they are Christian. That's ridiculous.

What you just stated was backing up my initial point, which is that not all those who identify as "muslim" are fanatics. "Arabs" aren't one group of people. Many Arab muslims have liberal values, including myself. The Kazakhs in Western Mongolia are very proud to be Muslim, and they are not fanatics. They are the most welcoming. You should stop painting "Arabs" as one picture. We have different religions, some are atheists and we have different cultures and ethnic groups. Arabia extends from Asia until the Western part of North Africa, bordering Spain. Be very careful when you describe and label human beings.

We got a similar problem here in the UK. I've lost count how many times I have been assaulted by Muslim men. Police not only refuse to act, they in fact blame me - the victim. Police have hounded me and accused me of having assaulted my attackers. Just how this is supposed to work, a tiny and weak girl "assaulting" all these huge bears of men has never been explained to me... Even organizations for victims of assault refuse to support me. They do however support my attackers. My attackers have all been issued with Permanent Residence/British passports. I am at risk of deportation resulting from police claiming I had assaulted my attackers. For the same reason I am unable to obtain British nationality despite having lived in the UK most of my life (and obviously respecting the culture and working for a living - but then, I'm not a Muslim). This is what is happening in the UK! The problem is not immigration/immigrants. There are many immigrants in the UK who live peacefully and work hard, integrate and respect the local culture. Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists - no problem. The problem is Islam.

When my new Pakistan neighbour moved next door ( with young son and young wife who didn't speak english ) he told my wife that western girls deserved to be " raped " because of the way they dress/act!!! Then he added hastily that it wasn't right . l have two daughters and he wouldn't make that statement to me, would he. Forgive me but diversity is destroying this country. And yes l came here in 1992.

In germany alone Every day in Germany a man tries to kill his partner or ex-partner. One in three attempts is successful. Activists say too many perpetrators are getting off lightly.

Turkey is an Islamic country right? In 2017 a total of 409 women were killed (Femicide). Also, 20% of women who have been murdered, range between 19 and 24 %. At least 300 women were murdered in 2020, mostly by their partners and 171 more women were found dead under suspicious circumstances.

I'm an Arab man and I admit that some cultural aspects can use some change. But I don't blame Arabs for that. I blame the US for starting to radicalize the Muslim world for their own gains. Look at Afghanistan in the 70's before the US involvement. Look at Ira in the 70's before US decided to support a coup against Abdulkareem Kassim to bring Saddam. Look at Ira now. You think this is easy for us? It's fucking hell on earth if you're a sensitive Arab man in Europe which there are a lot of. It's fucking hell on earth. We got everything to deal with, racism, bullying, and literally hatred the minute we go out. Anything we do is demonized. Add all that horseshit to the stress we have from leaving our countries and the countless traumas that come from there. Also I wouldn't be surprised if this was a very carefully planned attack. All the powerful countries that could gather resources over time are using us for their own political gains so I wouldn't be surprised if Russia ignited all this shit.

Germany needs to wake up and do something about this. You don't let someone into your house and let them do this to your women. I'm not German, or white or even from a first world country. This is just common sense.

Muslims are such good people. They delight us with their culture and their gratitude.

It has everything to do with culture, and one cannot stop one from their way of life in their own country. Respect the country you live in.

German's a hard language to learn, but if I lived there for a decade, I'd at least be conversant, even if my accent were bad! Try the Y/T channel of "Angry Foreigner" - he's a Muslim in Sweden and he speaks fluent Swedish AND English. Fully assimilated and grateful for the opportunity to live in the West. That makes him a rare exception.

I appreciate Germany for being noble and tried to help refugees, but opening borders that freely without background check is just too naive.. especially when you're implementing this as a leader of a country

Damn, I miss when VICE used to do stuff like this, now instead of documenting it and showing the truth they just provoke it by supporting it.

This young woman was motivated to change her behaviour - by carrying a short-bladed knife, and thinking about how to defend herself in future. But the liberal education she has received, about her country welcoming all 'people in need', meant that she could only maintain her former beliefs: "I like it when all kinds of people get along". It would be very interesting to be able to ask her these same questions six years later. /Germany has betrayed her, and her generation of young women, if choosing to arm themselves is their best option.

I am Zambian... My half brother came to live with me when he was about 11.We have the same father who passed away and different mothers. His mother was struggling so I took him in. Whether he thought being my brother made him higher in hierachy than my wife or children or that he had been spoiled by his mother and got away with it I dont know. But he was disrespectful to my wife, pretend to be obedient but burden my children leaving them to do all the work. Last straw was when he hit my two year old daughter and after previous incidents I knew he would continue to test our limits thinking there was nowhere we could take him. He was returned to his mother in a rural area after about 10 monthe with us. My own *half brother* is out if I have to choose between mine and someone else and that is the stance governments have to take.... asylum seekers and immigrants welcome but with conditions... deport even for petty crimes.

german government reacted quickly and banned every discussion about it, kept on flooding the country with more people who claim to be "refugees" but want nothing but money and are a danger to our society, kil lin g and ra pin g people almost every day. germany treats his native people like slaves and spits in their faces every day! i turned from a left winger to a rightwinger during the last 8 years, because i can't take it anymore. what we have here is a nightmare-a nightmare not allowed to talk about. we are, again, not a free country anymore. that's how i, and everyone i know, feels like.
