That's a good way to start your HT. Being a newbie at that time, my first attempt was with a Bose Acoustimas (LOL). Then I got the Onkyo THX HT in a box which I liked. It had good theater sound. But like most HT in a box systems it sucked at music. I then went with Polk because of their budget but well-reviewed center channel. It was a lot better for HT but still sucked at music. What I use now is Denon receiver, Emotiva amp, Revel speakers and a projector. But I still remember my good old Onkyo THX. Learned a lot from it. I've sold it since then.

MrJossher700 yeah I went this route to get a good start An to be honest after I added the extra subs it's to much An for what it is an the size of the room I don't think I will change it anytime soon... An yeah man any home theater enthusiast has been to the Bose stage where they think it has to be good it's Bose right hahaha, been there twice myself bro lol.

love your cats. They are beautiful. And yes ours also have to help out, even when not needed. As far as your center speaker goes, i had the same problem. I upgraded and my new center is about the size of yours. What I did was build a riser out of 1x12. The speaker sits on top of the tv stand and the tv sits on the riser. If you need pics I could send you some links to see pics of what I did. It works really great and cost under 10 to build.

New stand or even easier and cheaper would be wall mount your tv to just couple inches above the height of the centre speakers height probkem solved unless your wires are QED which not recommended to bend and well protected so no room for bending on there Hdmi signature and reference. so I bought a stand which has a back base so I can attach my screen to it so it looks like its floating. and it has 3 platforms so top for centre middle for denon 3313 ud and denon x4200 amp bottom shelf for monster surge protected. and x box one

Yeah I have done some modifications to the over all system but it works great for me, actually my friends say it's to much sometimes so that to me means I did well haha. Yeah the cats are always everywhere not just in the videos, they help with "EVERYTHING".

In onkyo av receiver which is best under 50000rs... I am in india... (Av receiver included with wifi, Bluetooth, Dolby, surround sound and etc.....)

Justin Fry here in sweden arround 3000 euro u can find many cheaper 11.2 recievers on sale but be careful some lack funktions such as hcp 2.2 etc

mine came with a hole in the box too and the sub was damaged

They should offer a new version of this system after they just went through a company buy out meaning they were bought by someone else so it may take them a minute to get everything organized.

You can add what ever speaker you want to it as long as the ohms are in spec with the receiver. It's always good to keep all the same brand just for uniformity but they can be mismatched as well.

The start price of the 9700 I think can be picked up for around 1-$1300 and upgradable witch makes it a great stating point.

I was gonna get The same package But Then i read alot of negative stuff about onkyos costumer service This is what im getting instead Reciever : pioneer LC-x801 Speakers : xtz. Cinema with The X3 sub Player : oppo -203

its a 9.2 reciever thats 11 channels . ur in the states u have different prices there , if i was living there and not here in sweden i would get the anthem avm 60 for sure it costs alittle more then 1000 dollars more here in sweden about 4200 euros but costs only 3000 dollars in the states . the pioneer is great for my setup , 5.1.4 then later another 3x12 sub donw the line for 5.2.4 it has better power delivery and great sound everywhere i called in swedish hometheater consults say the same , pioneer is the best amongst the yamaha and onkyo , maybie u wanna get a denon instead ? i think my xtz-s will be great with the extra push pioneer brings . ;:()

Buck Wilder I had a pretty good experience with Onkyo customer service. They repaired my TX-NR807 free of charge 6 years after purchase.

I think you will be happy with it... That being said I have done a lot of modifications to the system in the video because I'm never happy with something lol it can always be better... First thing is to make sure the receiver you get can handle DTS-X and ATMOS or at least ATMOS because you will want that in he future also get a receiver that can handle at lease 7.2 channels, I went from 7.2 to 11.4 because I wanted all the atmos channels because it really does add that extra layer of sound and makes a world of difference. But it you were to go the onkyo route you will be happy or you could spend extra money on a nice 11.1 channel receiver and just add on to it as you get the money/time but I have had several receivers in my life and by far onkyo is one of the best out there. Some others would be like DENON and MARANTZ. Just never get sucked into Bose ever...Also look at the klipsch line of speakers they are great although they are kind of big and take up a lot of real estate so that is something to consider in a small area. Hope that helps brother. Make it epic ; )

Mr.Atmos no reason to get all butthurt. Home theater in a box has crappy speakers that could barley handle 75 watts. Why spend 600-800 dollars when you can make your own setup 3x better? You can buy a 400 av receiver and buy 2 tower speakers to start out with and then upgrade on the go when you have the money dumbass. I've had 2 home theater in a box in the past when I was a young teenager and my current setup blows them out the water. I wonder what crappy setup you have Mr. Atmos? Yo dumbass probably have those snake oil Atmos enable speakers. Lmao

Not putting him down im giving him advice that box theaters are a waste of money and better off building your own Theater that's future proof.
