Despite the white rot the rest is looking real good. I think you did the right thing harvesting all the onions as once it gets going it really quickly takes over the bulb. Potatoes are looking great and I hope their okay as I followed your lead 🙂

Hi Mike I'm concerned about the multi sown onions because Noel has a big mole hill right in the middle of the bed and he could be transporting it around. Support your potatoes if you haven't already, I hope they're ok.👌👍💪🥔😁🧅

Hey Nick, your broccoli and cauliflower look like mine. Some do really well and other not so well. This time last year I had a massive cauliflower…. Maybe they will come good. Ooh I weeded my swede and kohl rabi bed today, no splits but rats or shrews been nibbling the rabi😢 so I pulled them before they were beyond rescue. All our strawberries 🍓 have gone now but I can see lots of green ones coming along nicely. Some of our onions had white rot, little tug and out they come. It’s only the odd one so will keep an eye on the rest till they fatten up a bit more. Warmer day tomorrow so hope I can get some hours in at the plot. Keep smiling ☺️ Allie & Tricia xx

Some fabulous harvests there cous I would be chuffed to have some brassicas that nice 👍. Every time they say we are getting rain it doesn’t so I’m watering constantly 🤦‍♀️. You’re doing great and the proof is in your harvests. Have a super week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

I've had it every year but not too bad. I will water with garlic powder to make the spores germinate but die off as there is no host plant. 😁👍💪🧅

Hi Nick, that looks like a great harvest, you did well to catch the onion rot early and still get a decent harvest. I did notice the mole hill, never thought about them spreading white rot, something to think about there🤔

I think the splitting is caused with irregular watering, not 100%sure.. You got more and bigger onions than ive got, I didn't look after mine at all so there will be no big ones for me..😔 Your red currants look amazing 🤩 What a great harvest...☺️🐮🐮🐮

Hi Duncan about a fifth maybe were affected, not too bad but not sure about the multi sown onions as the mole keeps digging everywhere and maybe transporting the white rot about 😕👌👍

It's a soil born fungal disease, all was looking good but the heat lately has probably triggered it. I'm not 100% sure. I will add garlic powder in a watering can and water the whole allotment this will hopefully make the spores germinate but die off as there isn't a host plant. I have a mole which might transport it around my beds😕👌👍
