That is a mighty fine campervan, and it looks to be a perfect size for what you are after, not a bus that you will struggle to get around the little rural roads across the UK and Europe, but just big enough that it has everything you need to feel comfortable wherever you go. I would hope that it may make winter riding more fun as well, giving you the option to drive out to somewhere for a few days and spend the days riding, knowing you have a nice comfortable warm van to return to at the end of the day. Thank you for the hours of entertainment you have provided in the last 12 months, I pay nothing for this, but I do sometimes go to make a cup of tea and let your ads play instead of skipping them, and I therefore feel justified in demanding a doubling of effort and quintupling of output over the next year.

I went for this van for exactly the reasons you outlined. There's nowhere in the UK I can't go. I've already experienced the pleasure of returning to a nice warm van after a freezing ride in the Peak District. It will definitely help with motivation over the winter. Thanks for occasionally not skipping the ads. I don't even do that. Maybe you could occasionally make yourself a sandwich or bake bread during the longer ads.

Great 12 months, you trully deserve 10x as many subscribers keep us the hard work

Shwmae Mat. I think I subscribed a few months in and really enjoy your videos, even if I haven’t seen all 55 of them yet! That’s good going! I’ve just treated myself to a new bike for the rough roads of Edinburgh, a hard tail, which probably cost less than your seat but it does the job for now! 😁 The new van looks great! My mates girlfriend has a Peugeot boxer and I think it’s the same van more or less? Thanks for keeping us entertained this year and I look forward to your, and mine, adventures next year. Hi Mat, if you get the chance, come over to New Zealand, the cycling trails are fantastic. Missing the UK winter is another bonus. We’re currently in a small town called Manapouri, South Island NZ so we can ride the Lake 2 Lake trail. This is a cycling track between the townships of Manapouri and Te Anau. It’s not a long ride, about 40 miles there and back but through spectacular scenery.

Cheers Ernie.🤣🤣 It was a distinct possibility. I actually found that rattle in the end. It was my dashcam 😡😡. I ripped out the stereo and was taping wires and doing all sorts when it occured to me. I've only wasted around 40 hours trying to find it. I'm happy though. The new van rattles more....

I sent your first video of the GDMBR to friends in order to gauge their interest in joining me next year from Banff to Whitefish. The line in the sand was drawn very clearly after they watched it! So thanks for an honest assessment of that first day.

@@matryderadventures yes Mat, a canoe trip video popped up and I was impressed with the quality of what was your first video so then watched your next video (I think it had a red London bus as a thumbnail?) When I subscribed I'm fairly certain that the number was a single digit (maybe Ross just beat me ...) It's all too easy to give a 👍 to someone's video that I've had running in the background but I feel that yours deserve a proper reply and because of that I wait until I have time to watch them uninterrupted. @@matryderadventures yes, I've been meaning to do a canoe trip for months, I can't believe that my paddles have been dry for so long, but cycling seems to have inadvertently taken over my life again. Mustn't grumble though. I was aiming to spend Christmas cycling between Scottish bothies but I might just take a canoe instead 🛶🤔

Mathew, I am enjoying your videos. I attempted the tour divide in 2022. It's my desire to go back this year but ... I am not in the shape I was then but still want to just do the route. I have the time to take off but really struggling with going this year. I don't know why. Any suggestions?

Is it a fear that you won't make it to the end? I'm definitely not expert but I just told myself that I was going to finish the route, even if it took 4 months. I think that helped take the pressure off.
