This was cool to see. People living closer to nature without going full "off grid" crazy. It's so often I watch stuff like this as an escape then pull back because I feel people take it too far. It seems like you have a nice balance. Hope you both have a great 2024.

Alot of the 'off grid" crazy is out of financial necessity. Living in a rural area means it is more difficult to earn a living in monetary terms. Growing food, being responsible for your own water and sewerage and having alternative power sources, such as solar, woodstoves, etc....means huge savings. I would not be living the life I love if I didn't live fully off grid.

I'm Dutch, wife is Jamaican. We love the countryside. Bit colder here in Alberta. But we LOVE the countryside! I wish my lady would like candles more, though:) I love your guys' creativity!!!! It was inspiring for me! I love the outdoors:) You guys are in sync! Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like other commenters, this is a new channel to me. Everything about it is lovely: your home, your photography and video, your pottery, your music, and your accents. Keep working on your garden, a good gardener fails but keeps trying. Growing your own food is worth it! Good luck!

5:05- walks in NATURE are AMAZING for HEALTH.

The cinematography together with the music make it very pleasent to watch (atmospheric music ✨👌) We have very similar interests and views, so now I am feeling less alone, haha! I like how you guys have reflected on the changing of season and how they effect you. Where I live, in Norway, the seasons definitly effect you (the effect deppends on where you live in the country and if you stay the whole year). For me, spring and summer are lighter seasons with more activities. In winter I turn more inwards, reflecting more, both alone and with the people close to me. Trying to not give energy to unimportant happenings and re-aligning my focus on what I think is important. Also just relaxing with the people close to you, over time, makes it easier and more natural to talk about everything. You are not in a rush.

congrats on escaping the city and getting used to country life. very soothing video, thank you. gardening is actually hard, but keep at it, you do get better with lots of mistakes. we're about 5 years into our gardening journey and are killing fewer plants than we used to. i think learning to fertilize and adjust the soil structure are the real secrets. really great videography too, subscribed!

I have a raised bed in our community garden where I have grown potatoes for the last four years. I only get maybe 20 lbs but it requires so little work aside from the planting and harvesting. I have been adding seaweed, compost and manure each Fall and working into the earth. It seems to help. :) Good luck this year. Oh and make sure your potatoe seeds are nicely cured before planting. Your ceramics are beautiful and I also love the wooden spoons.

Oh man, this is so amazingly awesome. Lord knows I dread staying in a clustered environment; I can't think, my energy is always low and the constant bickering of neighbors and kids playing, is too much for my well being. I like people but, I have boundaries and as an introvert, my space & peace is always disturbed😢 I so want to be free, praise/worship🙌🏽 Jesus while surrounded by nature, learn new natural things and just enjoy life without being busy as life demands it. I believe my creativity will be on another level if I could live in a place like this🙏🏽, money is a problem for my current situation but I will work hard at least get my own place.

Beautiful! I’m so glad I found your guys channel! I also moved off grid almost a year ago now. My cat unfortunately passed away this December and I chose a special burial place for her in the woods. There was lots of clay in the space we dug for her, so I thought I’d make some ceramics out of it as a memento to her. As a creative though it definitely touches on something special being in our natural environment, so many resources to add mindfulness and tactile creativity into the days. Something I just couldn’t find in the city too 🌱

This was a nice channel. The views was beautiful.The nature, I live in the city in New Orleans. And it is very scary with all the violence and trouble you and trouble you hear. It was just so calming to see the views. You guys make me want to move where you guys are I like your channel and want to see more. Bless you guys as a couple.
