One of the highlights of that Origin for sure. There are some good things in that movie. I also like the characterization of Victor Creed.

I mostly dislike Origins but I can see it had some good ideas. Team X, Gambit, the Silverfox story etc all had potential. I can see your point about Victor. Liev Schreiber did a great performance, it's a shame he ended up being a one-off.

Gambit movie probably needs the right writer. Not someone who just wants to do it, but someone who can produce a great story, something more than anyone else could do.

You mean the cool beginning scene with Wade? That set up the biggest letdown ever lol

"He's the best part of an otherwise lame movie"- That says it all, lol. I feel the same. And Taylor wasn't bad. You might be disappointed to know they were actually kicking around the idea of bringing Kitsch back for one of the following films (DoFP?), and it's a shame they didn't

That's insane! I thought Tatum would be the cameo. You're right, I am legit disappointed by that, and I kinda wish you never told me lol. I'm a big Taylor Kitsch fan, he's been in so many flops I just want to him to win one for once

Taylor Kitsch was absolutely the perfect Gambit. He's basically the only reason I watch that freakin' film. Well, that and the fact that I have OCD, and have to watch the film to get through the series, for some stupid reason.

Must be some powerful OCD if it makes you see Origins!... it's bad enough that it sucks, but it also destroys the series timeline. I just see it as a non-canon spinoff

Yes I just checked yours out! What a coincidence that you chose the other Origins scene I enjoy. There's only a handful of Origins scenes in the playlist. To be fair, good Origins moments are few and far between!

Grew up watching X-Men in the early 90's as a kid, Gambit was my favorite by far and it sucks they never really explored his story

He's hot with ram induction, but it's understood I have a fuel-injected engine Under my hood.

I liked the boxing match with The Blob best in this movie

Interesting choice! Blob was kinda weird but given the tone of the series I think he was decent enough

I always remember watching this movie as a kid and loving it, and also loving Gambit! Awesome Video! Also one question, how did you get Nando V Movies To put it in his X-Celent Scene Playlist?

Thanks man, admittedly I liked the movie when I was younger but I can't stand it now lol, it's just the Gambit parts I like. As for my video I added the #OneXcellentScene hashtag to my video, and then emailed Nando asking him to add it

I think it would be better to send it yourself, but it's easy: just go to the "About" section on Nando V Movies channel, and you will see the "View Email Address" button

Yay!! I'm not the only person on earth to think that Taylor Kitsch as Gambit was one of the best things about that awful Origins movie!! I have always liked him. He got a terrible rap because of John Carter, but that wasn't his fault. I adored him as gambit in this movie. He was just the right mix of irreverent and coy, sly and confident. He's very good looking, his accent was decent. And the fight?? Well... he did what he could with what he had. Which let's face it, wasn't much. But he still gave it his all, the rest of that mess be damned. I would LOVE to have him in a solo Gambit film. Just please god not Channing Tatum, he would NOT make a good Gambit like Taylor did.

Yeah, the fight wasn't really a fight. But that actually speaks more to how he played the character: we get a good impression without having to see him in action. Taylor got a bad rap in John Carter, but the thing is, he wasn't even that bad. I just can't believe he had multiple good roles in movies that tanked. He just cannot catch a break. I do wish Gambit gets a second chance, especially with Taylor. I used to fear the Tatum movie, but it doesn't look like that will happen anymore, thank heavens

He does have ties to Wolverine not as strong as Sabertooth but they do have some history when Gambit first joined the X-Men Wolverine was the most against him and never really fully trusted him the two have fought against each other multiple times and have had teamed up multiple times in the comics and at the time this movie was made Gambit was one of the popular X-Men that haven't shown up in the movies yet so they probably figured they could work him in

@@ItachiUchiha-ut6xj I mean on that branch thought it's also kind of nonsensical for blob to be in it as well or even Deadpool I was just trying to find a reason why they would link Gambit to Wolverine I kind of like how they fit him into the story and as far as wolverine age goes he's technically older than everyone even Professor X pretty much the only person he's not older than in the movie is Sabretooth if you are talking character-wise like comic wise than yeah I know he was introduced first and I definitely think that Gambit should be in A-Team movie before he gets his own movie even though I desperately want his Standalone movie basically either he's on the roster for the next X-Men movie or he gets a stand-alone series
