Rita shares her process of creating a successful documentary. Her experience as a film director inspires many artists who endeavor to share their voices through different mediums to take one step forward. Rita Xiang is a senior at Walker’s. In school, she is
interested in arts, history, and literature. She volunteers in the
Admission Office and Advancement Office as a Cicerone and
Advancement Ambassador, and serves the community as a
Proctor in Smith and Weekend Activities Representative for her
class for the past three years. Outside of school, Rita is passionate
about gender studies and ethnicity studies with the aim to combat sexism and empower women from minority ethnic groups like her. She has also worked on research and projects like documentaries and children’s books.
