Gorgeous curry, I added my Cardamon pods and Cinnamon stick to the Onion water and boiled them with the onions, bit like a Akhni stock. Much easier to discard them as wife and kids hate finding these in there currys 😝
Just made this one. It's probably the best buna I've ever tasted. Thank you very much for taking the time to show is the way to a better standard of cooking curries. It also goes really well with my homemade beers.
Can’t wait to try this ! All of the other 30 minute curry’s are absolute bangers !
Made it tonight. Best bhuna I've ever tasted. And plenty for tea tomorrow. Who needs a Sunday roast when you can have a bhuna?
Just made this - It is absolutely amazing - Thanks so much for your videos !!
I'm loving these 30 minute curries, this one will be my fourth one and so far everyone is always looking forward to them. Cheers Al!
Fantastic, can’t wait to make one!
This was absolutely delicious. Thanks Al!
Looks amazing. Can’t wait to make this one
Just made this and it's amazing! Will deffo be trying more from your channel 👍
Looks awesome and super delicious. Great recipe, Al. Thanks for sharing.
The bhuna looks stunning. I will be making it on Sunday
I’ve cooked this recipe a couple of times for my wife and I and love the end result. I have decided that this will be the recipe I will use on New Year’s Eve when friends visit but thought I’d try it out on my daughter (now living in Sheffield) who is a big curry fan. She couldn’t believe I had made it and said it was probably the best curry she had eaten in years. All credit to Al, I followed his recipe as printed, apart from adding the sugar.
Bought your Bhuna spice mix, What a time saver. Made the Bhuna yesterday using your spice mix it was the BEST BHUNA I have ever tasted, Brilliant taste. Used Chicken Livers for a change. I will be making this again. LOVE your 30 min recipes. Love not having to make tons of Base gravy anymore after using the 600g of onion, boiled and used some of the water for the curry.
Hi al have made all of your curries, starters , rice etc . Have all the new spices and apron ! Been watching your videos since lockdown and can I say THANK YOU!! You keep on delivering the goods mate !! And have saved so much money from not ordering take away. CHEERS!!!

Outstanding once again.. Thank you.❤
This is my 4th dish from your recipes and another winner. Yum yum. 😋
Brilliant Al. Lovin' the channel. Been making curries at home for 40yrs and I've been doing it wrong! Made your Madras and it was awesome! Coriander is the kicker. And, you're right about chicken thigh meat, it is better.
Doing this tomorrow with the last of the half price easter lamb leg from altescoburys. Thanks Al you’re doing sound fella, great recipes and delivered really well. Can’t wait to taste the bhuna, I’ve never had one before.
love it
I tried this recipe today, but used powdered fenugreek and powdered cinnamon. Have to say it's the best curry I've ever made. My curry game has levelled up thanks to your channel. It was very aromatic with a nice depth of taste. I'm curious about desi style curries now. Excellent work!
Looks amazing. Definitely trying this one 👍💯
Made this a few times already. Family love it. It’s a winner.
Oh my god this is DELICIOUS! I made it this evening and we both adored it. Thanks so much Al- really wonderful!
Thanks Al, just made this curry, very tasty, love the chunky veg!
Cooked it today then put it in the fridge for tomorrow night. Couldn't wait so opened the fridge and sampled it. Absolutely gorgeous! 30 minute curries are a game changer 👍
Cracking job! Looks amazing! Thanks Al, off to get peppers and fresh coriander tomorrow. 👍👍
Nice tip for cinnamon stick Al. I'm making this now. Thank you again. 😊
Love these 30min curry recipes, so do the family. Tuesday for this one.
Added a good squeeze of lemon juice and it really finishes the dish off . Thanks very much Al !!
Great video as always, Al. Looking forward to making this one =)
Thank you Al, just made this for my family and it went down a bomb. My daughter likes Bhuna and said it’s better than restaurant curry, absolutely gorgeous, so tasty. Looking forward to trying others from your recipes.
This being the first curry I've cooked from your channel, it is the most resembling of a BIR curry I've ever made. New subscriber👍 looking forward to trying the others. Thanks Al's Kitchen

Looks delicious
Love the recipe, love most of the new presentation, less fussed on the 5 minute intro.
Totally agree, bhuna was my top choice as a teenager with a keema naan and mushroom pilau
Cooked this today....absolutely demolished the plate. I've cooked a number of your BIR and 30 minute recipes, and fwiw, this one is, at least for my taste preferences, my favorite....so well balanced. Thanks, mate. You're a scholar and a gent.
Just cooked this one Al, with the peppers and it is absolutely superb. Every one of your dishes are truly excellent. Thank you.

Thanks for this recipe Al, really loving your 30 minute series. Lamb bhuna is my favourite Indian dish. I am going to try this Chicken bhuna recipe. Look forward to the next video. Great content as always.
Tried to keep up with you from 5pm but I hadn’t charred the veg. Now waiting for the husband to get back from bowls, so we can eat it. Taste test is extremely positive. Thank you Al. I’ve been watching you since lockdown. The base gravy recipes are great and the 30 minutes ones superb. Keep up the good work!
I tried this tonight, first of any of your curry’s and I have to say it was really good. Looking forward to trying some More

Curries
These curries are an absolute game changer. Get good quality ingredients and follow these and you will produce curries as good if not better than most of your local takeaways. One tip i would add is that the onions are incredibly important. Either use big spanish onions that are mild and sweet or if you cant get those try using shallots it will help reduce the bitterness you can get if you use standard brown onions from the supernarket. Also boiling them first has deffo improved the bittterness! Please please please do a video on how to make nice soft stretchy chapattis and i can bin all my takeaway menus! Thankyou Al you are a legend!
Made this half hour ago. Andrea taste tested it and said it's fab. However, we are not eating it until Sunday, when we are having guests over. I've also had a taste, yet again Al, smashed it out the park. 😊. Thanks for your inspiration and hard work turning these dishes out.

That is a beautiful looking dish Al. Rick Stein would absolutely devour that if he came to yours. Talking of Rick, I start work for him in Padstow in one of his restaurants in a few weeks time, when I see him I’ll get him to follow you…All the best mate…
Love it Al xx👍👍👍👍
love your 30 min cooking Al, keep it up
I've never eaten a chicken bhuna but it looks fantastic, this is going to be my next curry. Keep up the good work !
Done! In my belly...wonderful
I've just made this wow it's so good. But with pre cooked chicken tikka it's just amazing. Cheers Al 🍻
Going to try an alternative recipe based on your Bhuna curry mix from Spicy Joe’s. A company in Newcastle similar to spicy Joe’s seems to replace your blended onions and concentrated tomato purée with a half a tin of carrot and coriander soup + half water and a tin of chopped tomatoes. Will let you know the results, their bhuna was as good as your 30 min recipe but if I can replace the blended onion bit with the soup it would allow me the keep some ingredients to hand in the cupboard and perhaps deliver similar results. Keep up the excellent work, hope you had a great Christmas. Looking forward to more curry recipes next year, all the best for 2024!
Loving it Al keep it coming 👊👊
Got my bhuna blend delivered the other day going to get the rest of ingredients and try this out I'm really looking forward to it 🍺👍
So I've cooked the bhuna and flavours we're really nice. After splitting it into 4 single portions I found that adding each portion into a pan and reducing them down whilst reheating really took this recipe to the next level and tasted more BIR.
Oh Al. This came out restaurant quality. Sensational. Thank you sincerely for sharing your magic.
Really, really enjoying the content. Liked & subscribed. Keep them coming pls

I WANT THOSE SPICES 😂 Great vid. Ill be making this at the weekend .😊Keep on doing things your way its your site. The positives far outway the negatives... youre doing it right. Another season of great footy to watch Sunderland and Liverpool ( hopefully)and curries to make.
damn looks great im going to have to make that. i have made ur recipies before always so good !
Al, just made my first 30 min curry and this was it. It was amazing. I like a sweet tang to added 2tbsp of mango chutney right at the end. I wonder how you could doublr this. I would to make this for a party of 8 and not make 2 separate batches. Perhaps another series with bulk cooking. Thanks again.
Amazing Al has usual I am doing this one tonight And Thank you kindly for doing the Spices giving chance to win .
Wow just wow keep up the great content AL absolutely fantastic , on it making this curry bud 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Eating it now absolutely banging 👍
I don't even eat meat and this looks amazing. Going to try and tweak it with an alternative. Thanks so much for the recipe. Loving the chunky veg.
We had this tonight absolutely bloody delicious I’m now bining my base gravey this is far far better curry will be buying ready made curry mix powder from spices joes Al bring out some more please thank you
Been waiting for this all week, was going to order an Indian tonight but just going to make this tomorrow 😊
Spot on, we loved it but I recommend not adding as much water if you have a domestic cooker, it took forever to thicken on an electric hob. been eating curries for decades this was restaurant grade all the family enjoyed it. Looking forward to trying some of Al's other recipes.

Fell for the same mistake...i too have an electric hob. How much water did you add ?? I added the full 500ml of onion water ...going to do it again but only adding 250ml
Another great video Al, 30 minute series are great and I'm enjoying cooking these curries without the base gravy. keep up the good work. What's coming next?

Glad you like them!
Loving the 30min series
Just found Al’s kitchen via a friend. I’ve ordered several Smoky Jo spice packs and going to attempt the Bunah. Scanned the QR code and it brings me here. Great video and mentions spice pack. Only thing not clear is which ingredients are in spice pack and which have to be added. I’m fairly confident in assuming cinnamon, ginger, garlic, cardenoms are all fresh ingredients that have to be added. It would help if during the video Al could do a side instruction saying this I’d when you add the pre packed spices and the quantity. Also if the ingredients in the spice mix were given a little star to a footnote just to clarify and not add double. Looking forwards to the Bunah.
Looks delicious maté another masterpiece 👌👌👌
Nice one Al, looks amazing, my mouth’s watering! 😂
I made this last night. First one I’ve done from the 30 minute series, throughly enjoyed the whole process and results. I’m going to have a bash at creating a korma like this, as the kids won’t eat spicy food.
I love a good bhuna. Prawn for me!!!
Thanks Al, I made this for my tea last night and it was sensational. YNWA
I love your stuff Al and I would like to make a request. I am sure you've got some recipes in this area but I would love a 3 or 5 bean curry recipe if you have one.
Looks awesome...I am cooking this today before I go for a run (my longest yet in prep for my first 10k) and then we will be eating it this evening!
Looking good , cooking that tonight :D
Awesome, can't wait to try it. Do you have a Matar paneer recipe and a Paratha or butter Nan recipe? I've been finding it hard to find my fave veggie side, Matar Paneer
