I find it amazing that the dub is currently only about 50 episodes behind the Japanese version now. It's certainly come a long way.

@@sap9255 CR and Funi have been fully merged through Sony for about two years at this point, the recent news just refers to the Funi webpage/app/etc... finally shuttering. Zero changes affecting dubbing for One Piece or any other "formerly Funi, now CR" licenses.

Robin's dub did incredible for the "I want to live scene!! and I still sing Ian Sinclair's Bink's Brew from time to time, and this coming from a sub stan 🤣🤣

I love both the sub and the dub because they really put in the love and care the series deserves. I genuinely think it's one of the best dubs out there. You genuinely can't go wrong watching One Piece in either language if you ask me. "I want to live" is a definite highlight. Also, I hope the live action uses the dub's lyrics once they sing Binks' Brew; it's such a good adaptation of the song, keeping the meaning while making the lyrics sound organic and, well, lyrical in English.

Robin's VA becoming giddy about the callback and celebrating with an evening at Faust opera is just such a vibe 😂😂😂

"He doesn't have skin can you make him breathier..." and the instant voice change killed me

Honestly, One Piece hits so much harder when you binge watch consecutively. The growth of each character and seeing where they started and where they are at now is wild.

20:42 Such a good answer, "if you like it, you have a thousand episodes to watch". A lot of people are too caught up to watching as many anime as possible, forgetting that anime is supposed to entertain you. There are so many good 12 episodes, 24 episodes shows that I wished were longer. One Piece is fun and I am glad it is as long as it is. Instead of watching 100 "12 episodes anime" and enjoyed only half of those (not to mention most of them don't even tell a complete story), I'd rather watch one 1000 episodes anime that I really enjoyed.

That's exactly the reason I started watching. I watched a lot of other anime that were pretty recent and waiting for newer episodes after I caught up was pretty defeating. I just thought "One Piece is pretty long, so I won't have that issue."

I used to watch DragonBall Z when I was younger but fell off of it. I started One Piece after seeing the live action series, and it has just become like a part of my life. I don't skip the episodes or arcs cause I want to consume every aspect of it. I now feel like after 6 months of going through it like crazy, I need to slow down because I don't want to get where I'm having to wait for a new episode to air. Needless to say, my 81 year old mother, who lives with me, is also addicted to the show and loves Robin.

Love to see that even the English VAs are huge genuine fans of the series

From my POV, the answer to “what is the One Piece” is always whatever Oda wants because I have a feeling it’s going to be better than anyone could hope. Like how no one guess who was showing up for chapter 1,106.

The one piece dub is truly one of the most underrated and under appreciated dubs out there. I've watched 900+ episodes so far in dub and don't ever feel like watching the sub in the least. Love these guys and what they do❤

One Piece on every iteration seems to have the same love as each others group. It's fascinating. I haven't read the manga nor watched the anime.........yet.

I was initially overwhelmed by how many episodes there are, but finally made myself watch in September of last year and found myself REALLY drawn in and got caught up by the end of November. I rewatch arcs (sub and dub) and especially Wano as the dubs get added.

Even though I'm a fan of these voice actors. I was never a fan of the English dub. But recently I had to watch it because my girlfriend has a hard time with subs. It's definitely grown on me, specially Ian Sinclair. IMO he does a perfect job as Brook on par with Cho

Buggy is going to be right in front of the One Piece but not care because Shanks will be right next to him and they'll just fight while Luffy comes in and takes it… but Zoro gets to it first because he tried to find the toilet and got lost

Getting many voice actors at once is not a easy thing to do for an event. Sometimes they have scheduling conflicts or other work commitments. We have the voice of Nami in other One Piece panels and we have a playlist for most of them at kzread.info/head/PLD8B832fRRHaAfmJhR0x1PO0Vxv3yXC0K

I judge everyone who skips even an intro. Just comes of as arrogant, from where I'm sitting. Like; "my time is too precious and important to spend on watching an intro or checking a recap or filler episode". Where has the respect for artists gone... :/ Audiences have become so conceited...

Seeing influencers tip people to "skip this" and "skip that" and "this arc doesn't matter" and the ìnsanely insulting one pace channel that turns a great anime into a clip show..... hurts my fkn heart, and pride as a One Piece veteran fan. But what truely baffles me, is that we said goodbye to the Strawhat mentality in this community. Have you noticed that? Instead, people are now legit, and shamelessly, acting like Celestial Dragons. Like that's the most normal fkn thing... it makes me genuinely feel sick to my stomach. People are joining because of their fomo, and that's thè worst motivation to get into a show. Not only that, they speedrun it in less than 3 months. At best they'll only remember flashes of arcs, and maybe the last 5-ish episodes they watched. And none of them bother to do a 2nd run, or more, starting from episode 1. Misinformation is at an all time high too. Mostly because of money hungry influencers. Sharing leaks that use wro g translations. Then making theories based on those leaks. Then never bothering to come back for the real and correct translations. I literally had to stop following all the big channels, just so I could keep enjoying One Piece. There's literally 3x more new fans now, than there are original fans. So it doesn't matter what us OG's say. It falls mute in the misinformation and the influencer bs. This community used to be so open, accepting, understanding, supportive, intelligent and goofy. Now it's just another generic online community... 😮‍💨 Breaks my fkn heart.. I hope Oda never sees, or is told about any of this. It would destroy him to know that his readers are acting like Celestial Dragons...
