One person was killed in a major crash that shut down multiple lanes of I-40 in Knoxville on Thursday. Knoxville Police officers responded to the crash on I-40 W just east of Pellissippi Parkway around 4:15 p.m. Investigators believe at this time that a white SUV was slowing down due to traffic when it was rear-ended by a black pick-up truck.
