I've owned the dark side for almost 4 years and still enjoy wearing it when I'm rotating my time pieces. It is not for everyone however the high level of materials and movement make it a piece warranting a conversation. Omega watches are not for show, they are for a confident collector not needing validation. Great intel again as always Teddy, stay well!

As an owner of the Apollo 8 i absolutely love the DSOTM line. And i dont baby mine and havent had any issues with wearing a ceramic watch as a daily

This is a gorgeous watch. I love the Bi-Compax look, with a date.

My favorite: Blue side of the moon with aventurine dial. Absolutely stunning!

Got the Pitch Black variant because the lume lights everything up in the dark - the hands, indices, tachymeter scale, crown, and even the Omega logo itself!

I once owned this and the Apollo 8. Sold them both because it looked too big. Now after watching this video, I have some regrets selling them, and will start hunting again.....

Black watches are not for everyone. But this is so special that the name matches Pink Floyd’s favorited album. I owns speedmaster professional and glad to have this as well. It’s so modern in appearance and the movement is a work of art. If Omega can build one both smaller in diameter and thickness it will be perfect.

When I got my Seamaster, I got to see this one to be honest for the price I wouldn’t buy it, it’s one of those watches you need to see in the boutique. I think the speed master 57 is better. Hopefully I can own a green dial 57 one day.

The black is gorgeous, it's just bloody expensive and a bit big.

It’s a superb watch. Was initially put off by the case dimensions but it wears much smaller than say a 42mm Rolex EXP2.

@@radidoc4832 agree it sounds very large but doesn’t wear very big imo. Probably something to do with it being black ceramic and the sapphire case back.

Looks btfl, but contrary to Rolex, the market is flooded by so many versions…in addition to exploding supply, they bumped up the price in a way that is not commensurate to me.

16mm is kind of a dealbreaker for me

It isn't a dive watch.

Love this watch, but think it’s overpriced.

Ive owned a few Speedmasters and sold them all. Personally think it’s one of the most overrated watches on the market. Chrono is useless in the computer age. omega, which I LOVE, are becoming the masters of variations on a theme

I'd love one, but they depreciate like a brick off a cliff.

That's most watches the last year or too. Even Daytona's are down a lot on the secondary market. I picked up a mint condition 8-month-old "Grey Side of the Moon" version of this watch recently for $7700, and it's truly stunning - especially for the price of a much more basic new gen Speedmaster Professional moon watch.

Interesting all these watch guys are raving about this watch. Just left the omega boutique and it's not all that. It looks like a toy with no wrist presence. Not sure what you are all smoking...come on man!

It's a brittle easily shattered case which makes no sense whatsoever. Ridiculous.

I always see folks afraid to break those ceramic watches. For the record I would never drop a 10k watch and anyone who does should expect catastrophe even in a steel case.

Brittle is a strong word. I don’t think it would shatter if dropped on tile from a short height. Maybe teddy should start doing drop tests for the views??
