When you see a proper light storm, it is jaw-dropping, literally takes your breath away. I wish everyone could experience it at least once in their lifetime.
I went to Lapland Finland in 2013 and saw the Northern Lights. Amazing and unforgettable!

I know this will probably mean nothing to anyone,, but hearing the language sparks a memory and seeing the buildings the way the are made is so like home here for me in Minnesota. we can see the northern lights from here.. so many homes are still standing built like they were.. the memory lives on.
Hei from Germany, this video is pure magic! Very well done and a real tastemaker! I ve been two times in Finnish Lapland- March 20 and this January- and had the luck to see Auroras like this. Fell in love with this country! Next year again, Finland is great nature and nice people.
Finland is so incredible. Greetings from Argentina.

If you have time, look at some documentary here in KZread. I've always wanted to travel North. Especially around the Finland, Sweden and Norway area. I find it extremely beautiful up north. Finnish people and the Native Americans have always been very much alike. Our cultures are quite similar. We have faced a lot of suppression from a supreme enemy/invader. Our native gods come from the nature. They are called pagan gods these days but still have a big impact in our culture. Both of our people have been living in very primitive conditions just a few hunderd years ago. The true respect of nature and and the simple way of living is what brings us together.

Fun fact Finnish is the only language in Europe to not have any single latin, nor greek decent. Its all decending from the Viking language and to some extent a little bit of ancient Slavic as well.

The Vikings spoke old Norse which was a Germanic language. Finnish is not even in the same language family. It’s a Uralic language. It’s far closer to Hungarian than to any of the other Nordic languages. In fact almost every other european language is an indo european language. Finnish is about as far away from Norse as you can get in Europe.
only 2 weeks left for me .. can't wait to go back there. i dont believe there's any place in the world that's more pure, peaceful, and beautiful. i absolutely love Finland, i'll always come back for it ..

@@imweird3363 Trip of a lifetime. All before the world shut down. 2 of the 3 nights deep in the Arctic Circle we were blessed with some lights and we met the real Santa in Rovaniemi on the way back down south. The kids got to go on a sleigh ride and we all went for a husky safari. All so unforgettable and magnificent. Now I must see Lapland in the summertime and fight off the mozzies.

I was fortunate to see the northern lights once. It was 1am on August 12, 2000. I was in the Seattle area. It was a brilliant green fog that took up nearly half the northern sky, shooting white beams into its center.
In the Turks' epic of oguz kaan, it is said that the creation consisted of jade. According to the Turks, life was first revived with jade. The northern lights definitely have something to do with this creation epic. A tremendous divine experience. The shots are absolutely incredible. love from istanbul.
I live in Helsinki (southern Finland) and aurora's are visible there very rarely. I decided travel to Kilpisjärvi for 3 days and I was lucky enough to witness lights in two nights from three. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen!

Saw the lights 2 years ago in Iceland, But not seen such a fantastic display as this one yet !

It's sped up, notice the clouds moving in some clips. But you can clearly see them moving even with your own eyes. It's as if curtains moved slowly in the wind.

Hi and sorry that we havent been able to answer your questions for a while. Had some problems with logging in to youtube. Here is some info about the location. This place is called Pallasjärvi and it is at the border of Muonio and Kittilä. Area is Pallas-Yllästunturi national park and there is lots of open huts to use. Just google the Pallasjärvi or Pallas-Yllästunturi national park. Hut is at Hietalahti on the east side of Pallasjärvi. If you have questions for us, you can find us on facebook. Just search for AV-Lappi and send message. Its easy and you will get reply for sure :) Thanks for watching this video!

Awesome video from our awesome neighbours! I was visited Abisko myself last winter to see the lights, the night was clear as glass when I arrived, but no lights that night, and then it was snowstorm the rest of my time there. I love the idea of staying in a cabin like that, I would really want to try that sometime and see the beautiful show nature puts on every winter.
