There is no way in hell you'd be able to go barehand in -71 C, if you did you'd loose your hands to frostbyte in minutes , and that wimpy single layer tent wouldn't do shit in that temperature :/

I watch this video 3 times this morning, hahaha.. incredible adventure to see. The coldest i've experienced was -18 celcius in Pyongyang peak winter, I cant imagine you camp in -71°C... salute

People can adapt to all kinds of enviroments. We have cold winters in finland too (around -20c to -35c) and when I was in the army we used to camp in the woods all the time. At first I tought I wasn't going to make it but we all got used to cold temperatures. Ofcourse good gear will help.

very stunning images and great landscape. But I don't think this was taken even close to -71°C :) ... -71° is an extreme condition there too. Average Dezembers/January is around -32/-38° and those are by far the most cold months. I'd say this was taken in March/October where the temperaturs go in between -10 and -25°. Don't get me wrong, this is still freakin cold and most people would not be as relaxed as this guy or be able to camp at this low temperatures. But it's not -71° - as that's just for the clickbait. If he would shovel snow outside without proper gloves and facecover, he would get frostbite very fast. And also other stuff as his equipment would have been way more frozen after a hike like this. Why do you use clickbait? I mean the video is great and the images and scenery are amazing. There is no need for lying to people :)

Это не -40. Я помню, какая жопа была в Томске при -42. Из рта валил такой пар, что голова была как в облаке и все ресницы и усы покрывались льдом за минуту. Веки смерзались и ты даже не можешь открыть глаза.

That's because it's not -72, that's just the lowest recorded temperature in the region. From the looks of it it's not even -30.

Something very odd here. Apparently -71degC, yet he leaves tent door wide open and has wood burner lol. Why eat cold possibly raw food in tent when you have cooking facilities right in front of you. Amazing scenery.

I guess the same could be said for the Pacific Ocean - it’s beautiful AND deadly all at once. @@martonszerdaI’d say around -10C. Look at the squirrel, fish, snow, no gloves. In -20C no gloves even for a few minutes becomes a real hazard.

@@simoninkin9090 I would think so. I live in Canada and -25 degrees (celsius) is the lowest I ever experienced. At -18 or lower temperature, you can not be bear-handed. In this video, no wind and lots of sunshine. So I am sure he did not feel cold. Once wind blows, that is the time you feel not cold but painful on your skin. That is, not only fingers in gloves or tows in thick boots, but skin under the cloths.
