It's in Eugene Oregon, and I'm not sure if they are still doing the full-out mountain trail championships, but it looks like they are doing a Spring Mountain Trail Adventure starting tomorrow through the weekend. oregonhorsecenter com

For some reason they didn't race last summer, but if they do this summer I'll try to get another video.

I can try. I believe the horse center sells DVD's of the show, and I know they took video of the races. You can contact them at the website I've posted in the info and they might have a DVD with more clips.

Interesting. It does look a lot like your TREC, but I'm not so sure it's designed along those lines. I think this is more of a simple indoor obstacle course for horses and their riders to compete. I don't believe this competition is as well coordinated as a TREC.

What is this? I do TREC with my horse in England and this looks alot like are out door TRECs do only faster. out indoor TRECs are still quite basic.

astridkoning was just about to say the same. That mule is beautiful. But feel bad for the long shanked bit and the pulling

you know I think it's truly sad pathetic and ridiculous, but a mule does not get the respect of a horse, they're smarter than any horse, they're twice as strong any horse their side, oh and one other very valid point their ancestors wrote Mary into Bethlehem, and Jesus into Jerusalem, no horse can ever make that claim about its ancestry!

Actually, Sandy, wasn't it donkeys who did these things? Mules were considered royal mounts (David and his sons rode them, and Solomon was seated on David's mule when he was proclaimed king), and poor people like St. Joseph used donkeys as beasts of light burden.

I have a MULE, and half of his ancestry is a donkey but I did not know they were considered ROYAL animals, I think that is absolutely fantastic! But I am sick and tired of people looking down on a mule and a donkey like their stupid, or they're stubborn, that's not it at all it is self-preservation! 💞

Please notice the horses did not have their head low !

I beleave if the mule had a smaller man or woman on it. He would of been a lot faster.
