    Great teaching. Thank -you! Our ego does get in the way of everything good. Lord, have mercy on us all! I was being drawn to this book, and couldn't figure out why. I am also studying humility. After hearing what you shared in your discussion, I see better an aspect of what G-- is trying to show me. When any one us place ourselves before Him , we become His enemy. It's a place we don't want to be in. I struggle with grumbling , complaining and a irritated spirit. I cater to my flesh in many ways to comfort and soothe me , instead of trusting Him to take care of every issue in my life. That clearly shows my ego is in the way, even after many years as a follower of Christ. Thankful for what you shared. Please pray for me to make progress. Time is too short for me to waste it.

    I think the perfect example of “righteous indignation” is Jonah. He was so angry that God would show mercy to such an evil people; and he felt it was absolutely unfair of God.

    EPHESIANS 4:26 Be ye angry,and sin not:let not the sun go down upon your wrath: can you explain that Verse?

  • @mrtdiver

    @mrtdiver

    2 жыл бұрын

    Be angry, yet do not sin; do not let the sun set on your angry state of mind. 4:26 This is from Psa 4:4. a quote or referenced from. 'Be angry' = to provoke, arouse to anger - in life you will be provoked to anger; everyone is. But our anger must not continue to the point of transgression or committing sin. Every prophet was angry. If you are not angry about things taking place in church, this is a bad sign. 'let the sun set on your anger' If or when we go to bed in an angry mood it then give the Slanderer (= the Devil v. 27) opportunity to exert his influence. Verse 31 names many forms of sinful anger; outward manifestations of unchecked anger that would be considered sin. All bitterness, rage, anger, shouting, and abusive speech must be removed from you, along with all hatefulness. 4:31

    Nahum YHWH (the Father) does not want any rivals. Elohim (God) created us. So for any of us to worship another god before the one true Elohim (God) is a mockery to the creator. Just as today, we have been given opportunities to accept Yahshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). To turn a blind eye or even refuse to acknowledge Yahshua over the ways of this world is a mockery to Elohim (God). However, Elohim (God) will not allow anger to be against those who mock all of a sudden. Elohim (God) takes time to allow people to make the right decisions. If YHWH (the Father) punished Israel and Assyria, he will also punish all lands on the earth. Elohim (God) knows all who belong to Elohim (God) in Yahshua's (Jesus') name. There are so many who strongly believe they are so powerful and so good that nothing bad can nor will ever happen to them and if anything does it is absurd. Elohim (God) says otherwise to all those who mock the one true Elohim (God) and worship other gods. Judgment of this world is coming so make sure that you make your vessel to the kingdom clean by coming to Yahshua (Jesus) or coming back to him and repent your sins and commune with Elohim (God). Not one human or spirit will ever be able to overthrow Elohim (God). The things of this world will only distract you from communion and fellowship with Elohim (God). Even the greatest protections with the most state-of-the-art technology will protect you from YHWH's (the Father's) wrath. There are so many lies and corruption of power, authority, money, etc., and so many victims of these things do not turn away from them. YHWH (the Father) is against devilry, sexual immorality, and many other despicable activities. YHWH (the Father) will show the true colors of all those who do these wicked things to the rest of the world. The rest of the world will see the trials, tribulations, etc., being done to the wicked. The ways of the people who have taken place of governing make themselves out to be fierce soldiers to overtake everyone else like they are weak women. All who become weak and blindly do what these governing people say have little faith or may not even be born again and have no faith. If there is no faith, there will be no fight against the enemy.

    The confusion here is the difference between envy and jealousy. Scripturally envy is wanting something that belongs to another. Jealousy in scripture if you trace it out is wanting that which belongs to me. My neighbors car is not mine. Your spouse’s affections, your children’s affections, your parent’s belong to you. A child that did not receive the love of their parents rightly longs for that. This is jealousy in scripture.
