    Dr. Smith, I so enjoyed your commentary on the Gospel of Mark. As I again study this gospel, I am finding some more things that open my mind to a greater understanding of Jesus and His ministry. Some things you confirm, some things you add, and some, frankly, I think I'm in disagreement. Ah! The magnificence of the Holy Spirit living in us.

    In the mornings I wake up early to watch a brief teaching on the channel ‘overview’ then I click on Randall and he clarifies and helps me to see the whole picture. I really like his style. Then I watch Rick Warren for a relevant lesson that helps me with problems or subjects/lessons I might need during the day. In the end times the Bible says people of faith will see things and become closer to God. Whereas, unbelievers are blind. I feel that I see this today. Also, if you’ve not seen Ron Wyatt Discoveries, it’s amazing. Turkey has the Ark and they nationally recognize it , not in the US. Plus locations of Sodom and Gomorrah and so much more. For a great read, I recommend The Harrbinger by Jonathan Cahn. All fantastic!!!

    Thank you. Listening to you is so helpful to me. Thank you Randall. Somewhere (sorry) it says in end times, that people who are believers will see and learn more and non believers are blind. I think this is true today. Complete chaos. I’m so glad I found you. God bless you. I appreciate you and your time. Thank you.

    I am wondering about Pastor Randall's calculations. He said that "41" times the word "immediately" was placed in the gospel of *Mark* . @13:09...he stated that 17 times the word "follow" shows up. In *STRONG'S* Concordance l found otherwise. Is Pastor Randall referring to certain translations?

    ".... could foul up a two- car parade...." Hah ha great teaching perspective. I always wanted to know why the demons declared who JESUS was, like it was the truth- how come they were proclaiming it. and then , if it was the truth , why did JESUS shut them up every time? Thank you .

    Written to the Romans.

  • @Thomasw540
    @Thomasw54011 ай бұрын

    The Gospel of Mark is written by a Roman soldier for other Roman soldiers in the Praetorian Guard in Rome up his chain of command, It was written and in circulation no later than 40 CE It is not derivative of the theology of Paul. Cornelius, who is featured in Acts 10, is the author of the Gospel of Mark. The reason why there are 19 Latinisms in the book, the most of any Gsspel, is because it was originally written in Latin and translated to Greek in Rome. Christianity begins, in the Gospels, with Matthew 8:10. Both Jesus and Cornelius answered to the same high authority, Yaweh, Queen of Battle. John Mark did not write The Gospel of Mark. He became the publisher of the Gospel of Mark in Alexandria and was on the editorial committee which shaped the final version of the Gospel of Mark ending at Mark 16:8. This editorial committee added the post script to the Gospel of Mark probably after John Mark died. John Mark wrote the Gospel of John, which begins during Passover Week when John was 12 years old and engaged in his Bar Mitzvah, This is the first of four Passovers of Jesus's career, John the Baptist in in Bethany during that week, then goes down to Jericho and the Jordan River to conduct baptisms and Jesus walks down and is baptized and is immediately driven into the Wilderness for 40 days. and then walks back up to Jerusalem to participate in the reading of the law at Pentecost, where John Mark encounters John the Baptist and Jesus. The operative word in Mark 1:1 is euangelion and is referring tot he intelligence report Pilate sent to Tiberius under the delivery status of euangelion. Tertullian cites Roman archives that indicates that Tiberius received an intelligence report from Judea that compelled him, Tiberius, to propose elevating Jesus to the Roman Pantheon, which was rejected by the Senate probably out of spite for the public execution of Sejanus 17 months before. And the term, Christian, a construct of the Roman soldiers in Judea for the Jewish Jesus Followers, is introduced by Tiberius at this time, This term doesn't get to Antioch until 43 CE by normal trade, migration and tourism. Your characterization of John Mark is excellent, especially his relationship with Mary of Jerusalem, Cornelius writes the Gospel of Mork immediately after his encounter with Peter in Acts 10, inspired by the baptism by the Holy Spirit with the Spirit of God. Mark 1: 4 - 8 was the leading edge of what we now call Quelle and is the intelligence archive of the X Legion, which occupied the Galilee and is the source of Josephus's John the Baptist content. The contours of Quelle are indicated by εὐθὺς throughout the Gospels, εὐθὺς is an apparatus of the Roman intelligence style book that indicated eye witness testimony that was collected in a routine surveillance folder on Jesus that was begun when Jesus popped up above the Roman military horizon and took command of John the Baptists' repentance movement, Mark 1:14 indicates the Romans lost interest in John the Baptist and, after the feeding of the 5000, the Romans begin to lose interest in Jesus The 5000 are organized by Jesus into a para-military formation the same size and organization as a Roman legion that will participate in the destruction of the XII Legion at the beginning of the Jewish Wars in 66 and is the military formation Josephus commands and betrays.
