R.I.P. Betty White ~ What a shock that she passed away today (12/31/2021) at the age of 99. Only weeks from celebrating her 100th birthday! She was our National Treasure. She blessed us all with her quick humor and her rememberable characters. May she make all the angels and God laugh thunderously and smile brightly in Heaven.

If you count all the leap years she live through, she made it to her birthday. Giving that, she was a true Icon, an animal lover and advocate. One of the funniest women every. She will be so missed.

God, I remember this show! I used to beg my Mom to let me stay home from school so I could watch it with her! And I watched it all summer.

That woman who got Neptune and Quiz.. the fact that she was thinking about those answers in the back of her mind while answering the next questions is crazy focus in that situation with a studio audience and lights and cameras.

They are actually cool, the dress, and demeanor so classic.

This & Sue Ann Nivens are the Betty White personas of my childhood & will always be my favorite memories of her talent, humor & sense of fun. RIP lovely Betty White, together again with Allen Ludden at last!

this just reminds me of how much I used to love watching the gameshow network growing up as a kid in the 90's, watching all these reruns. Match Game was always my favorite celebrity game

Unselfish, caring, empathetic, strong willed who championed causes near and dear to her heart. It's interesting that we lost not 1 not 2 not 3 but 4 "Mary Tyler Moore" stars in 2021! Betty White was the last one. Her passing fully closes the era of "Mary Tyler Moore" and "Golden Girls" as everyone from those shows are now unfortunately gone.

Thank you for the upload. BW is the Queen of TV. She had been there for such a long time, she was always my favorite from so many game shows. She had such a sense of humor, sometimes a bit risque ... which was wonderful. Her humor was ahead of the curve. She and Allen Ludden were the couple of TV, such a great relationship, what talent. RIP Betty and Allen. She brought love, knowledge, excitement, tasteful sexual innuendo, humor, and professionalism to TV.

Today would be her 100th birthday. The world loves you, Betty.

LoL she was 99 years old , how shocked could you have been ?? It wasn't like she was 39 and suddenly passed away.

Times and people are so different today. Society has changed in class and conversation.

The Password Plus set went Playschool especially in comparison to the original Password set design. Also, Betty White looks older on Password Plus in 1979 than she did last year!

I've searched on ebay a few times to see if anyone is selling a vintage Match Game card (maybe a contestant who got one signed as a memento), but I haven't found one yet. Not that I want to buy one -- I'm just interested in knowing whether any still exist, and what they're worth.

But when a contestant would win $5,000 (or $2,500 or $10,000 or whatever) in the Super Match, very often the celebrity (e.g., Richard Dawson) would autograph the card and give it to the contestant as a souvenir. I suspect that at least a few of those cards still exist. (For example, when Richard Dawson briefly came back to Family Feud in 1994, a FF contestant showed Richard a Match Game card that he had signed for her when she won big on Match Game in 1977.)

I met Ms. White a few times in the 1990s, and completely agree with Bea Arthur’s opinion of her.

Can anyone explain what they meant on Tattle Tales ~1:06:30 of this video, the question is ‘Exactly where on your body is your vaccination’ (husbands have to say where on their wives body). No one on the show is confused about the question - was it normal for a vaccination to leave a permanent mark?? Did they need a flu vaccine to be on the show? The confusion is killing me!

The question is probably referring to the smallpox vaccine, which left a permanent scar. Smallpox has been eradicated, and so the vaccine is no longer given. But at the time of that Tattletales episode, everyone on the panel would likely have received this vaccine earlier in their lives, and would still have the scar.
