Just to clarify, it isn't a game built solely by one person. It's one guy and then a load of volunteers. Not discrediting Dabak but he's not the sole developer of the game by any means. He's gotten a tremendous amount of help and we should be giving them credit as well.

After playing through a little bit of the game I realised you don't have to travel in atmo to get to a certain place on a planet. Open warp drive (navigation) 'default B' when near the planet and it'll show you all the places you can fast travel to on the planet, however you have to be outside of atmo (in space) to do this. This game is insane. I've sunk 65hrs into it and it's beyond fun.
Fair warning: This game has extremely complicated mechanics for things that should be extremely simple. I sometimes find the single most frustrating part to playing this to be the process of attempting to get from point A to Point B. Quests often tell you to do things that the game has in no way, shape, or form explained to you how to do. The tutorials are hit and miss at best. One example of a tutorial was a three step process in which the game tells me exactly which buttons to hit in order to execute steps 1 and 2, and then for Step 3 it just tells me to "Press the Step 3 hotkey". What's the step 3 hotkey? If I ever figure that out i'll be happy to come back here and tell you.

@@Propellerkyylik Please don't misunderstand me. I LIKE the game. I want it to succeed. But i continue to run into roadblocks. Enough that I wish there could just be a simplified version of the game. Gimme a proper quick travel at least. The whole process of flying to a warp gate, plotting a route, requesting permission. making sure you fly within the lines as you pass through the gate and then gaving to make MULTIPLE jumps, getting a 3 second scan at each effing waypoint and then when you FINALLY arrive you have to find whatever planet or station you're looking for and then on top of everything up to that point you must now find your landing point, deploy your landing gear and manually land.... That. Ish. Is. Pure. Torture. That's how convoluted it gets when the game is being played right. Imagine how ugly it gets when you DON'T know a step in the process. And I think I myself just missed a couple of steps in that little outline. I like the game. I wouldn't even bother complaining about it if I wasn't so frustrated at how great I feel like it COULD be, if it wasn't so obsessed with making me micromanage what SHOULD be the most simple thing in a videogame....moving from Point A to Point B.

I've played this one since Splat's last visit. Splat's complaints are already addressed a few versions ago. You can see all the locations on a planet with the right button, Splat gonna Splat and not read, it's fine. Mind, worlds are not true worlds. You will not find varying biomes on the same planet. It's a flat plane that loops in on itself, which will remain the same biome, but you will find random encounters between the settlements. All that said, it's pretty good, but still has a ways to go. I'd say it is worth the early-access price, if you're comfortable with a janky experience. The combat is fine, both space and ground. If you look closely, it's obvious how much work remains to be done, and there is not a lot of variety between the settlements, stations and biomes. About a handful for all of them and no individual visual variation beyond random encounters. But again, I got my money's worth.
You CAN pick specific locations on a planet to land. You have to press the B key to bring them up and then warp down. And no, the game doesn't explain that because like I said in my previous comment this game is FILLED with highly complex multi-step processes that the tutorials never even hint at. I learned how to pick landing locations on the forums. lol

@@enriquehirshfeltikov2395yeah, bounty hunting missions are their own thing and good income. Think of private contacts on people. Selling wanted pilots is more like arrests for the police, so it's a different thing. Any ship you kill in any mission has a chance to leave a pod behind and/or scrap. 😊 Edit: also your pilot stats affect your drop chances, and chances of rare. A lot of good gear and weapons comes from these drops, like Diablo style games. Drops seem to happen around your current level so they are always worth checking.
Tip, to locate a planet you can search for the number instead of trying to find the planet manually. Comparing Spacebourne 2 to Starfield, lol. Spacebourne 2 trumps Starfield hands down.

I've only ever made it to the start of the mid game twice of times and that's easily a good 30 hours. It's what I think is missing from elite dangerous, the ability to form a huge organisation. The pilot hierarchies are pretty straightforward and their income from privateering helps until you start taking over stations and can really start to expand.
"Freedom isn't free; it costs space terrorism." 🤣
You don't usually even have to request to dock. Just drop your landing gear and you will be able to land.
You CAN pick where you drop into on a planet. Hit B at the planet and you'll see all the locations, you can MMB on one to lock on and warp to it.
This game reminded me of Evochron Legacy, another awesome game that I had somehow completely forgotten about.
Quick tip: Don't take missions much over your level. Dudes over your level will decimate you. This includes weapon/shields/equipment level; If your weapons are lower than your target, your going to struggle so keep it going.
This DOES look amazing, incredible project, hope it gets funding and a proper team, this is such a promising game
Kind of like No Man's Sky. Pretty damn cool, especially for being made by one guy.
That is indeed impressive for a single person to program all this.
You can go to any faction hanger in main systems and upgrade your ship...level, add equipment slots, and even paint it. However, it does cost quite a bit so go with cash. The ring station you landed at is a faction hanger; up top that you passed by is where you upgrade/paint your ship.

I love everything about this
