Apparently that style (string piano) is an actual technique people do. The more blasphemous one is when the player(s) intentionally detunes strings while a note is being played to pitch-shift it. And that too is considered a legitimate technique.

I can't remember the name, but there's a family group that does this, but I think it's 7 of them.

This probably won’t be seen, but oh well. When I was 6, my mom showed me this video and it inspired me to learn the piano. A year later, I also picked up the cello. 9 years later, I still play piano and cello competitively and as a hobby. Thank you.

What I love most about them is not their talent (don't get me wrong, they are SO talented) but how much passion and how much joy they have in creating music. You can obviously see with the smiles on their faces that they love doing what they do.

I think the passion is someone’s face really shows true musicianship. With all of there videos you really see it, but it’s different every time, they are amazing. They touch people in ways they do not even know and to me that is true musicianship!

My 1st grade of elementary school music teacher used to start his classes with this video (and others from The Piano Guys and 2 Cellos) this is so nostalgic. This video inspired me to play music. This showed me that music isn't a lot of rules that you must obey, showed me that music is fun. If you know what you are doing, you can use a single piano to play a whole band

Love these manual sounds from the percussion mixed with the percussion. Whoever guesses that can be created such a piece of wonderful music, you are extremely creative. Love you, guys!!!

For real! It's been so long that I've seen a Piano Guys video. I still remember it that I really really liked it back then. But like memories are, you don't exactly know how much you can trust them. Now just through this one video that popped up in the recommendations after years, I see again why they are so special. I've watched so many videos today, and this one is the best of them all. It's just different, it tops them all. It just makes me so happy again. It's just looking into their faces making music with love one time, and it makes my day. Just makes me happy. They have that vibe that ignites your soul. And that's just that one video. I am nervous what will happen if I now start watching all the other videos again? Will I survive? Will I be able to sleep tonight? :D

This must’ve one of the few vids i saw of the Piano Guys and followed them ever since. 10 years on and today I just watched them live in Singapore. What a journey.

My Golly! Am I the only one who's laughing out of amazement while watching this video because it's the first time to see people playing the grand piano this way? This is truly amazing hahaha. Talented, indeed.

I grew up listening to a lot of these as a kid. Seeing just how long it's really been is terrifying and incredible all at once

Wow- I remember when I was in 3rd grade and my music class teacher played this for us. I was amazed. I loved the song then and still love it now (nostalgia). And now, as a senior in high school, I am still blown away by this. Never got a chance to comment until I was finally allowed to make my own channel, and I am glad I am able to share my experience now, only 9 years too late.

This is by far my favorite one. One of the first that drew me to the piano guys

You know, I'm coming back to hear this music every year. It' been almost 10 years. There were only few clips on this KZread. I really love all your art but this still inspires me back to my college years. Whenever I hear it it feels like wake up on clear fine morning.

I love the melody you've created with plucking the piano's inner strings. I had no idea that could actually be done. This entire piece is absolutely amazing.

I may not like one direction but I do love how they use one piano to make all different sounds, like the piano and the string and the banging on the wood and stuff. Once again, great job.

I have listened to this song over 100 times. I listened to this when I was in high school. Now a college grad and still a huge TPG fan. This song will probably always have a role in my life. I feel like I was a fan before it was cool.

The four-note pattern that Jon plays at 2:11 can be heard in the guitar solo in Don't Stop Believin' in the same key. That's cool.

This might be 7 years old now but I still love it to this day. It reminds me that every part of the whole is important and has it's uses. Just remember that if you are down because you feel useless or think you are a hindrance, you are not. You are important too! Don't forget even the keyboard cover has a part in this song. Typically a cover is there to stop the music, hinder the player from playing, but here is is used to accentuate the song. The song would be missing something if it wasn't present. Whether you are the keys, the strings, the mutes, the hollow wood, or even the keyboard cover you are important to the song. The song we are all living in, the story of what makes you beautiful. Never forget that.

When you can playone instrument, it's not hard to make the jump to another, same underlying structure, music is music. Instruments are just a way of expressing what is already inside.
