One Dies After Two People Fall From Point Fermin Cliff
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 6/16/24 1:44 a.m.
LOCATION: 807 W Paseo Del Mar, Point Fermin Park
AREA/CITY: San Pedro
DETAILS:
Two people fell down the side of a cliff at Point Fermin Park.
Firefighters found one person, a female, about 50 feet down the side of the cliff, and another person down at the bottom of the cliff.
The female was rescued using a rescue rope system by Urban Search and Rescue specialists, and was evaluated at the scene.
The second person, who was declared dead at the bottom of the cliff, was also hoisted up by firefighters.
No further details are available, as LAPD officers investigate the rescue.

You've got to make a real effort to "fall" off the cliffs at Pt. Fermin. Either they jumped or were under the influence and thought climbing over the fence was a great idea

Right!!! I always see the non- intelligent teenagers under the influence and its so frustrating cause I've seen so many slip thankfully they've been lucky enough to catch themselves and get back up but they think they're invincible.

How sad! Most likely teens or a young couple, not too many 65 yr. olds, like me, hanging out on the seaside cliffs late at night. The follies of youth are often, very unforgiving.
