It is and it’s sadly being destroyed by the Russian and Chinese governments for the past umpteen amount of years. They don’t care about this planet and it’s so horribly sad! Course we have to deal with far right wackjobs who don’t believe in global warming here as well.

Your videos are so comforting to me. I used to live in Russia 20 years ago but now, relations between our countires seem at such a low, I despair of ever going back. Seeing the country again through you is amazing, so thank you.

Your videos always have inspiring family where everyone is responsible and helping out each other. In my country, it's so common for children to do nothing but studying. My nephews never have to touch any chores. Never even have to tidy up their own plates and take it away. Just eat and leave them on the table. I honestly have no idea what they will grow up to be like. I sincerely hope they learn something when they eventually have to leave home and doting parents. I wish my culture had put more emphasis on building a good character. We used to do that, as I remember old textbooks in my time teaching about honestly, helping parents and the likes. These things don't exist anymore in modern curriculum for some reason.

I never ever comment but I need to today so I can appreciate all your hard work Kiun! This video, like all the others, was super special, and I enjoyed watching it from beginning to end! Absolutely amazing job ! Thank you loads for making us discover the beautiful Yakutian culture, I am super grateful for you xx

I can't express how much I love your videos. The quality of them is impressive and the shots of this beautiful landscape is captivating. A snowy wilderness is soooo comforting for me to see somehow.

The production value of this piece reminds me of a special on either HBO , Discovery, Nat geo. Netflix etc… Truly, a very insightful piece with magnificent narration.

I am struggling to understand how are reindeers capable of consuming enough calories to sustain themselves in that frozen land. Not only it is a order of magnitude harder, slower and more calorie-intensive to dig out the feed in cold, but it is also a lot more demanding to maintain the temperature. Do they lose a lot of weight during the winter?

Kiun! This is such an important and beautiful documentary- I have seen no other visual media on Yakutian reindeer herders (in English). The last doc I watched with Yakutian people was Horse People in 2009. Since then, we obviously now have your beautiful drone shots. I really would suggest entering this in some sort of competition, maybe presenting it at the annual arctic conference or something similar.

i lived three years in yakutia and i loved it,still do, the people are lovely the only i could not adapt was the local food, it ain´t my thing, except the the fish stuff

Remarkable people and environment. A lot of the day is really just devoted to tasks to ensure survival and everyone contributes. These reindeer herders are so adapted and close to their environment they don't want to live anywhere else. I've been to some cold places but I can't imagine -70C...

I absolutely love this channel. Kiun, you are amazing and do amazing documentaries!! 🩷

Your video is beautiful to watch as always and in such high resolution. This gives such a beautiful picture of people, old and young, holding on to their values and traditions. They radiate so much warmth, happiness and love that they warm the simple tent in which they live. I also have deep respect for the lady who runs the entire household single-handedly. Cooking with love and your heart. What wisdom. And your English is very good and despite your accent I prefer hearing your voice to reading the subtitles. If you listen carefully to what you say, you will be much more involved as a viewer in the video.

I really enjoy learning about a lifestyle and culture totally different from my own, and I've watched all your videos! Thank you for showing us about life in Yakutia.
