One day in Cognac and Angouleme in France

Next stops on our summer trip in France were Cognac and Angouleme. Travelling during the pandemic was a bit of a challenge at times, and sometimes we had to make changes to our original schedule, including, for example, missing the birthplace of Francois 1 in Cognac, or the comics museum in Angouleme.
But we still tried to make the most of the time and absolutely loved both cities. They are very different - but both are worth stopping by when you are in the area!

The Comic Museum (both sides of the Charente) and the paper museum are well worth the time - the whole town makes you stop and think how fast the world changes, is changing... There are also annual festivals of comics and rampart road racing as well... I'd go back in a shot... (well several probably, not sure international travel is a good idea yet..

Yes, Angoulême is like a comics world capital! One of our regrets is that we did not have the time to visit the comics museum...

When we went back to India, the only thing my friends demanded was to get a bottle of good Cognac :) I'm forwarding this video to them :) And the sky is so blue!!!

The sky was amazing!!! I do not drink, but Zhenya was super excited to try Cognac in a place where it was actually made and said it tasted even better because of that =)

To be fair, we made this video in the summer of 2020, when the tourism was almost dead due to Covid restrictions.
