Day trip from Bordeaux to St Emilion - a beautiful UNESCO place in France
On one of the days during our summer trip we decided to go to a very lovely town of St Emilion near Bordeaux.
It is quite easy day trip from Bordeaux and you don't even need a car to reach the place - it's enough to jump on a train and you will be there in about 30 minutes! When there, you can either walk to the town or take a local shuttle (make sure to check out the schedule on the local tourist office website!).

Thanks for sharing! I can't decide between Bordeaux/ St Emilion and Strausberg. SE would be the reason if I choose to visit Bordeaux.

These areas are very different and what to visit very much depends on what you want to see and to do! Both are lovely, so whatever you select you could visit some really nice places!

@@NataEugeneTravel yes indeed they have different charms! France is so big and has so many different but equally beautiful places. This will be my third trip there and I know I will go back again. I’m from Asia so a trip to Europe is a luxury :)

Definitely for tickets to Bordeaux if you are coming from Paris, and from Bordeaux to St Emilion you can catch a local train. When we went there we just bought tickets on the train station before the departure, but you can do it the day before as well if you travel around bank holidays
