Once You Complain You've Already Lost

This video comes from Gary's 2016 keynote at Web Summit. Watch the full keynote on his main channel here: • WEB SUMMIT GARY VAYNER...
Complaining is one of the least productive things you can do for yourself and your situation. By facing the reality of what things really are, you can get to correct the problems much faster than dwelling and complaining about them.

Amer Kovač I guess that’s the work we all have to do to be successful. Cultivate the self awareness to know. I think it works the opposite way as well where a person can be naturally excellent at their craft but they don’t know it because it comes so easily to them.

Absolutely! You’re either “solutions-oriented” and you’re actually valuable moving forward, or you’re “problems-oriented” and as you complain, you’re just another part of the problem. Never point out a problem, instead point out areas of opportunity with at LEAST 3 good solutions.

I think it boils down to acceptance more than anything. Many people complain bc things aren't the way they want them, so instead of accepting that reality, they deny it, and since it continually lets them down, they complain. Ultimately it gets them nowhere, which is why acceptance is liberating, even when we accept things we don't particularly like or want to.

As someone who’s been in business for a number years (nowhere close to as experienced nor as wealthy as Gary), I can tell you that he is 100% right! Along the journey of becoming an entrepreneur, you’ll meet all kinds of horrible characters. Suffer from immense stress and loss of wealth in chasing your dream. You’ll have more bad days than good in the beginning, and it’ll seem like everything and everyone is against you. Complaining about it won’t achieve anything, because as Gary said; “nobody gives a fuck”. All you do is waste your energy by complaining and end up feeling sorry for yourself. The difficulties are part of the journey and you have to face them I’m afraid. Not everyone is cut for this journey and I appreciate that. This is why I hate people going around thinking that calling themselves a CEO, entrepreneur etc is cool. It’s not! It takes years and years of hard work with blood, sweat and tears! The title may sound fancy but the journey you have to embark on, not many can handle.

Everyone misses where, how, and why really the significance/value of how the course of black pupils/whites of eyes became abridged was /is prevented its means/voice to use how exception/s were/are employed are evidence/s. So, for example, everything stays increasing fact treatment styles fighting with people not to use honesty to interpret each of the science/s. Also motivations "debates" left/leave out much tied to the breaching method/s also prevented from being used by the logic of any individual before they move to be an identity of "job," note, speaking for humanity not honestly. Simultaneously it is critical to understand how people stacking in New York city really was/is. How the species body was/is bound science/s individuals, grouped, and together was/is other than such. Truths were/are used for lies, and to screen them were/how, too, innocence increasingly was/is demonstrate to how it was/is framed, too, all exceptions appearing other also in demonstration of the same thing/s.
