Residents in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong have been placed on high alert for “once in 50 years” river levels that have caused earlier than expected annual flooding, according to provincial authorities. Water flows in the Bei River breached its banks on April 22, 2024, forcing more than 60,000 people to evacuate. At least 6 have been injured.

It may sound strange but major flooding do come in 10, 20 and 50 year cycles. The 50 year cycle is the highest and worst flood. I live in SEA and have personally experienced all these floods and hear older generations talking about such flood cycles. Meterological departments certaintly know of these phenomena but probably just consider them as myths because there aren't any study done so far.

Going from record droughts to record floods, back and forth the pendulum swings. Imagine being able to manage the water better!

I dont know if they can do it but I think they should just manipulate the weather so that the clouds won't gather in one space and become a really big single cloud that can cause heavy rain

So if China didn't had emitted greenhouse gases and letting other countries emitting green house gases would you say the world would be a better place? and besides the United States is ranked second on emitting a lot of green house gases with 5,032 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions as of 2021, even if China stops using green house gases the world will not recover from Climate Change.
