Just go see them race. There's events all over Europe. Really cheap to go too as well. Follow the Masters Historic Racing Series. Loads of races this season with historical F1, Sports cars, Endurance, GT cars and touring cars.

Because Group C was replaced with Group GT/GT1 and the FIA GT Championship. Nothing to turn our noses up at, but the raw power of Group C cars is unmatched. I'm hoping more of these historical events start taking off and the owners give their collectibles the chance to flex on track in real competition.

@@robertbearden785 Indeed it very much was. Was lucky to watch it race in 1992 along with the Toyota Eagle MKIII, XJR-14. Was just a little kid. Was so excited they brought them back for the historic Long Beach GP in 2022. The Mazda screaming down the straight was pure ear porn.

group C historic racing. from about 1981 to 1988 or so group C had few rules apart from how much fuel you were allowed and the result was some completely awsome monstrous and sexily elegant race cars. the mercedes C11 and porsche 956/ 962 were truely breathtaking. In the early 90s it got watered down a bit when rules were imposed on engine size etc ( this lola / judd is probably a 3.5l v10) but even then god they were fast. Modern LMP cars could not hold a candle to them. Onboards like this, seeing these things driven in anger from the drivers seat are a welcome treat, my volume is always maxxed out for it!
