Journaling for yourself is the most honest conversation you will ever have.
Journals are the truest stories, it's what people write for themselves before anyone else. This talk really inspired me, being a young girl, knowing that my experience and truth has worth.
Thankyou for this talk.. I have began to write courses which take participants through processes in order tat they connect to their essence and create their own life experiences and narrative. The artifacts of their experiences and thier thoughts, feelings, and impressions go into their journal. These processes are directed to the construct of creating an/their imaginary place. This talk has again reconfirmed to me the importance of finding our own story in a media driven culture and listening to others. My journaling experiences which took place over months involved purposeful experiences with others. i believe a journal which embodies our experiences can be looked back on years later and we will be connected to what we experienced. I don't believe in hanging onto the past, but we need ways to connect with ourselves in the present. Journals do that for us. Our experiences can last a life-time when we keep a journal; when we look back on it. And through our lifetime we will remember who we were and how we felt because of it. I believe that people say that telling stories of their loved ones who have passed help them to remember. Yes. But, what we often miss when we are alive is the moments. Journaling slows things down and puts us in the moment which extends our experience of time. My life use to go by so quickly, but through really slowing down connecting to me, and clearing junk out of my head, my time has remarkeably slowed down from passing. Thank-you for reading. bless you
Thanks a lot. As a non-conformist, with different opinions than the majority of people, this talk really inspired me to write, at least to propose an alternative story to the winners' one.
What an awesome speaker
Twitter as a place for journaling, for sharing our uncensored voice without anyone telling us what to say?? The Twitterverse has changed a lot in the last 5.5 years.
Amazing speaking skills ...
I Love that ❤️
*Hmmm...* makes me think how it'd be possible to get a 360° Degree perspective on a given narrative?
I really wanted advice on how to keep up with my journal but I was sadly disappointed
I thought this was about journaling.
Great Ted talk but the sound of spit is very distracting

Gender inequality is not talked about enough? Excuse me? It's one of the things that's mostly talked about nowadays. Wth.
