Gregg was contributing in the way that he should as the resident film buff, offering an expert opinion about how he thought the movie should be done. Therefore he is completely resolved of any wrongdoing, much like the suspect in 1957 popcorn classic 12 Angry Men starring Henry Fonda and directed Sidney Lumet which I would give 5 bags of popcorn and a miniature gavel keychain.

I appreciate the dynamic between the two hosts and they bring they provide some excellent insights when they're actually discussing the movies and not fighting. Tim seems so hostile to Gregg which is unnecessary to say the least and he seems insecure about his opinions compared to Gregg. Also, another problem with the show I have is they could work on the editing. For example, Tim coughing and choking on popcorn could have been edited out.

0:50 seconds in demonstrates the illicit drug activity has already become a problem in Tim's life. You can just see the anger resistance in Tim already. Then he erupts at the end and displays some real rage towards his co-host. Truly heartbreaking that Gregg had to endure the abuse over the years to come. If he only knew and had the resources, he would have started a new show with him as the main host. The events that followed, arson, genocide and medicinal abuse truly could have been prevented.

The "Mark" of a good show, is Mark Porksch who isn't in this episode, but, the show isn't just good, but GREAT, when he's involved. Still, a 5 bag comment, and I'll throw in a miniature Oscer statue as recognition of WC Fields' Academy Award win for Poppy (1932)

Your comment is a five bagger and 2 green screen hearts.
This is where the show really takes off IMO
Tim and Greg are still so young here. It's weird to watch these old episodes again and think how Greg would go on to found the Victorville Film Archives. I tip my hat to you, Sir.

I love how quickly Tim's brain goes to John Singleton, of all people, as maybe the star of Escape from New York. There's room for about 20 showbiz names his mind at any one time, and John Singleton somehow makes the list.

The best is at 3:26 the expression on Gregg's face, shows no concern that the host could choke and die. It's almost as if he wants him to die. I am a diehard Gregghead, but something tells me that if Tim was choking to death, Gregg would just sit their eating his popcorn watching him die like some villain in a crime film.

Whoa whoa whoa, the coveted 6 bags of popcorn?!
really glad Tim put his foot down in this episode. Gregg gets really out of line a lot of the time and Tim usually lets a lot slide. It was definitely the right choice for him to react this way.
tim does the courtesy of picking him as a special guest for this episode and gregg decides to take it too far. this is outrageous.

I don’t see how Tim can bring Gregg back after this brazen act of insubordination and attempted usurpation.
I swear to God, Heidecker is the comic genius of the 21st century.
I laughed when Tim slapped the popcorn.
I'm very late to this series but I'm relieved to finally discover some nuanced conversations (and sometimes debates as shown in this particular episode) about the films us movie buffs truly care about.

Gregg's got some nerve, coming on Tim's show and disrespecting Hollywood like this.
I really hope they get to do a full feature film. Most iconic duo ever. It would be off the charts.

amazing episode!!! i died. i cant stop watching these. BRILLIANT
Wow, absolutely unacceptable behaviour from Gregg here. So glad Tim didn't put up with how impolite he was being. I think it's time for a new guest.
That was the first time in this show I bursted out laughing so hard that I had to pause. I don't know how any of them could've kept a straight face during that.
This was a such a simpler time, before Dr. San, Dekkar, the Electric Sun disaster. Wish we could go back and warn Tim to be careful in the future.
6:50 that sweeping second swing is perfect.
Dang, when Tim was having trouble with the popcorn, I felt that
In hindsight, it’s crazy to see how much they had planned out. Their dynamic was so different prior to the blood clots; Tim gets so aggressive and defensive as this series goes on.

The impulse for the hosts to laugh was strong in this one. A lot of chuckles swallowed. RIP James Gandalf Feeney.
There's much debate about what the most important, or significant, episode is in the On Cinema series, but in my opinion this one is the one where it all spiraled down. Tim slapping the popcorn out Gregg's hand twice was suffocating me with laughter.
Hey that's the code breaker from decker huh small world
“How can you not give a die har movie five bags of popcorn? They’re all kinda five baggers”
It wouldn't work as that either
Gregg is right, people do like Brendan Fraser.
Greg was driving me nuts this episode, I applaud Tim's superhuman patience with that kind of BS
Whenever KZread freezes when I'm watching a Tim Heidecker-related video, it takes me a few seconds to realize that it's NOT intentionally edited that way

First official Tim freak out abuse on Greg in the series. Season one though.. you can see Greg brought him to his insanity.
