Mr F79 has done a wonderful job with this map. Incredible amount of detail, the dimmensions of the houses and flats are something I like in particular. I hope you check your mirrors more in real life than OMSI though Joe!

16:27 is so true to real life Camden Town with the Sainsbury at the corner and the church opposite the bus stop. The station is just up the road. Enjoyed this and I may even get it.

Maybe one day we’ll get a map that covers the Battersea area! The amount of buses at Clapham Junction alone is insane!! 170, 49, 345, 337, 35, 37, 87, C3. 295, 39, 219, G1, 319, 19, 77, 87, 344, 639, 670, N31, N19, N87 and to be honest, I’ve probably forgot the rest. Not to mention Nine Elms is part of Battersea, Chelsea Bridge has some routes to Sloane Square etc. So much potential.

Nice video Joe! The map looks very detailed with the cyclists and vans. Also it was shocking of how it was not stuttering as much as the regular Omsi add on. The texture also looks good too.

Totally new here and never heard of OMSI 2 before, use KZread for other stuff but you came up in my feed. Having lived in London and having been a London bus driver driving a Boris Bus that has driven some of this route (253 and 73) that was very interesting. Map from Hampstead heath down to TCR was very realistic (I lived a while back not far from the start in Lawn Rd) the Gospel Oak shabbiness was very accurate. 'End violence against women' Graffiti and buildings and shops were spot on as was the huge speed bump in Bayham St, and that cars and especially vans (which happened to you) will ignore the stop sign and drive straight across at Plender St. Not sure from TCR onwards but there seemed a mistake at Trafalgar Square going into Whitehall which If I remember accurately is slightly down hill. Drivers cutting you up, in the wrong lane and not indicating was hilariously completely accurate too although maybe a bit exaggerated. Getting stuck behind another bus that seems to be on a slower schedule than you (29) adds realistic frustration, I would pull up short unload and load passengers as quick as I could and try getting round. Not sure why no-one used the card reader but that was realistic too. I think you said you'd get curtailments (turn arounds) if you were too far behind schedule, that's an interesting feature, and the sun suddenly coming out from behind a building and blinding you is exactly how it happens, sunglasses are essential. I suspect you have done some bus driving yourself as you seem to know basically what you're doing and the 'fuck this, I'm coming round I want my break, done too many in and outs today' at the end is a thing I've, and I would imagine all drivers have, done many times. Things I thought were not as it should be was that you didn't seem to check your nearside mirror much, you're supposed to check your mirrors as a pair every 3-5 seconds.You would look through the glass on the front door to check how far away from the curb your were which I don't know is even possible on this sim. Close door buttons should be on a short cut you would never look at them in real life as you'd be watching for people running for the bus and to make sure nothing was trapped in the doors. You would do a lot more coasting in real life as the acceleration and braking would throw passengers around and get you a lot of complaints. Moving off before passengers are seated or secure would get you a low mark if you had a 'mystery passenger' grading your performance. Not sure if the ibus shows how far you are behind the bus in front but you'd be looking at this as much as the scheduled time, too near the bus ahead and you'd get control on the radio telling you to slow down (you'd say you're on time and the bus ahead should speed up......now arguing with the controller that would be an interesting feature). All together that was an interesting experience, if slightly annoying that I didn't even get paid for doing route learning!!

@@JoeDobsongaming I’m not usually a huge fan of one-route (or a couple routes that follow a similar path) style maps, I prefer a network, Although this and Arkala have really started to change my opinion, Both follow a single (or small set of similar) routes, and both look incredible.

This is amazingly accurate!

That left turn at Mornington Crescent is quite tight and bus drivers barely miss the vehicles at the lights going the opposite way. The roadworks afterwards are ongoing and are for HS2. I use the 29 regularly from Camden to Leicester Square and I use the 73 when I lived in Stoke Newington

They have haven’t they, but this is OMSI London 🤣🤣🤣 all be it a somewhat different kettle of fish!

It was the 38s which first introduced the NBFL with eight prototypes, the 24s was the route to first have them fully allocated. (LT9-LT40)

When you watch Joe's video and reconize SFX Boxes you've made for OMSI in it, always amusing. Not claiming the SFX are mine but I am curious if they are the Sound boxes I made or not. Great map, hope it comes out soonish and does well!

the default keyboard keys / and * works for closing all 3 doors. To close the middle and rear door just press * twice. It says too in the manual on the bus

Remember, when driving away from a bus stop, do not turn the wheel too much as your overhang will clip the curb ;) Advice from a bus driver! I have to say, you drive really well. :)

What really makes people fail the written test is when they have to calculate how much passangers is allow on each type of bus and you have to calculate if this road is safe to drive on etch, if it's a BK10 road, bkt8 etc etc. If you need advice etc... I am here. I hold a license for bus and lorry.

About your Hampstead Heath / Camden comments; North of Hampstead Heath is very posh. South of the Heath, not so. Camden is very trendy though Also, as a side note, London Buses don't use timetables, they use headways instead. London Buses also don't sell tickets, you have to have an Oyster/Contacless And YES, it does say *Camden Town* backwards on the railway bridge IRL Mornington Crescent Station is designed by Leslie Green, and those are oxblood-stained tiles

High frequency London buses use headway. Low frequency buses, such as those out of Lewisham garage etc, use timetable.

I've never been to London. I rarely ride the bus. Nevertheless, this is a very cozy and wholesome video.
