"The dude in the red and white" is Pavel Datsyuk, he's in this video more than once, and likely more than any other player. Watch the video of HIS best dangles.

Calm down Detroit fans, he did amazing things with the puck, absolutely one of the best & stands shoulder to shoulder with the rest of best, he definitely made his mark & ALL true fans of the game know him & his legacy, but to me in my opinion (which I'm entitled to) to say he's the greatest is too much, considering the talent of the game before, during & after him, then again could just be Redwings fans holding on to the last TRULY great player y'all had

I guess it probably is where you are , but it’s all relative! Where I live , hockeys huge but basketball for example there’s almost nothing. It’s only school basketball until highschool which is not even any kind of division or anything. It’s just play for fun.
Check out Pavel Datsyuk some of the best hands in hockey
They put all the non-Datsyuk dangles in to calm things down to protect your sanity.
The worst part about 4:26 is that was on Logan Couture's birthday lol and he tweeted at the guy deking him out (Pavel Datsyuk) "C'mon man you gonna do me like this on my birthday?" lol.
Since you have started to react to hockey you HAVE to react to some big hits/tackles. It’s a big part of the game.

There are no tackles in hockey. A tackle involves wrapping your arms around someone and pulling them to the ground, like in football and wrestling. That’s a penalty in hockey.
@insertnamehere1792

@@puckchaser3267 from what I have seen, the definition of ”tackle” doesn’t have to include using your hands to drag someone down, but rather that it means to get the ball/puck/x through interception.
Datsyuk #13 for the Red Wings had legendary dekes and dangles. They called him the Magic Man. One of the best thieves in the NHL.

Nice guess on what a dangle is.... dude with the red hat. You want to really see some shit.... do best hits. I've played hockey all my life. I love seeing anyone getting into it. Once you get it, you're hooked. Best and most difficult sport in the world. Oh, and by the way, these guys are actually moving as fast as a slow moving car. About 25mph and up. I've skated with pros. These guys fly.

I grew up with soccer and hockey and you guys grew up with NBA and football, it's just cool to see what you guys pick up on and what translates. And you both seem like genuinely awesome people, enjoying the F1/hockey/whatever sport reactions a lot. I don't comment often but figured I would help the algorithm ;)
the skill 🔥dangles be so disrespectful though 😂got them trippin and stumbling
A dangle comes from how, when you play with a cat, you get the toy as close to the cat as possible, dangle it left and right in front of them, and pull it away as soon as they try to pounce on it. We're basically doing the same, except using a stick and puck
@Childofbhaal

hockey is a tough sport to fully appreciate until you either play some or watch a lot of it. Substantial things happen so fast, but without a ton perceived movement and the pros make it look all so easy...glad you guys are watching some hockey! its a tough sport just to get into let alone play

One thing people don't understand is how exhausting it is, they play a 1 min shift and need to get off, that is a foreign concept to basketball

3:18 No. 33 is a really interesting guy amd one of my personal all time favourite players, Zdeno Chara. He's Czech, fluent in 5 languages, does greco-roman wrestling on his off seasons, has one of the absolute hardest slap shots in NHL history (something like 108MPH), and he's 6 foot 9 or *6'11"* on skates. And yet he somehow moves like a ballerina in that clip. Also he has some hilarious fights on video, he just absolutely ragdolls people.
Omg!!! So hyped for this!! Appreciation all around 🙏
Anybody who loves Ai crossovers would understand Datsyuk! #bigfacts
A dangle can be equated to a juke from a RB or WR in football. Pavel Datsyuk is one of the kings of the dangle in the history of hockey. I'm soo happy he played for my detroit red wings!
4:08 Pavel Datsyuk is the OG dangler
Watch The Code… awesome to see you getting into it. The dangle is baiting then stunning. Usually it’s followed up with a snipe (incredible shot). They still have to beat the goalie. Imagine all of this where defenders have reach, are also professionals AND they can lay you out silly at any point as long as you have the puck. Good stuff #Datsyuk
Datsuyk was fucking incredible. Breaking ankles every other goddamn game
I think basketball and hockey fans can appreciate each other's sports easily, because there's a lot of similarities in the flow of the game.
A dangle is the modern word for ‘ Deke ‘ which is French for Fake, equivalent to a Juke in Football. Basically just putting a move on someone!
A dangle is when you hold the puck out and then pull it back the opposite way. Think of it like "dangling a carrot in front of a horse" or when you "dangle" a treat for a dog and then take it away right when they bite at it.
Ask Siri "who is the Magic Man". Pavel Datsyuk...Detroit Red Wing...will be in Hall of Fame in a couple years...and breaker of ankles.
You need to watch the hockey code it teaches you a lot about the sport
You have to see some of the edge work in hockey. Some of these guys have so much control of their speed and direction it will blow your mind.
A dangle is like an ankle breaker in basketball
Hockey is a beautiful game!

Dangle is a hockey crossover
glad to see real recognizing real! Like basketball, hockey has a quick pace, lots of passing, lots of chances to deke/break ankles
One thing that may be missing from these highlights is the sheer speed some of the guys are going when they make their moves. The slow mo doesn't do some of them justice.
You gotta watch some Zac Bell, it will blow your minds, best dangles in the biz....Great vids, cheers

If you’re wondering about skating skills….Canadian kids get their first ice skates about age 2 or 3 and start playing hockey at five.
Can I react once with you guys in the nhl lol god I love the respect you give hockey!! This goes to any game that involves athletes!!!
Yo yall gotta watch nhl micd up trash talk that shit funny they just be like “yo you wanna fight” - “yeah I guess”
Ankles breakers! That's all it is. Amazing stuff.
I like how datsyk is like every 3 clip real the goat of dangles
I'm feeling good mookie thanks for asking 😂
Dangles in hockey are used more like the crossovers in basketball But instead of seeing hockey players break ankles, they “undress” the defenders like as if a basketball player pulls down the defender’s shorts as he dribbles passed him so he the dribbler could further create space
4:51 I love how Crosby's deke is just like a little "Back off, man" move. Also, 6:30 you said he tried to tackle him, but he was trying to bodycheck him, which is basically just hitting him to the ground, which is legal depending on how hard and how he does it.
Fortunately, hockey players don't cry when they get hurt. They get up and fucking kick ass.
If you want to see skill that’s even better and more satisfying than this watch “Best shootout goals ever”. It’s a 6min video of some insane moves! A shootout is when a player is 1v1 against the goalie. It’s used in the same way as penalty kicks are used in soccer if neither team scored in overtime. Only difference being is the player is not shooting from a stand still.
A dangle is a move to get pass your opponent (Whatever you can do with your stick, go ahead. Toe drag, between the legs, juggle with puck. It don’t matter). An Assist is an ASSIST
Would love to see you watch a Jonathan Quick highlight reel. You’d be amazed what a goalie can do.
A dangle is the same as breaking ankles

Want to see crazy, check out Irish hurling. A 3000 game- the fastest on grass. Note the serious lack of protective equipment. This is how Irish warriors trained.
man yall get a follow for this one, datysuk is my favorite all time. dude changed the game
The thing you don't really get from the videos is the speed. These guys are flying.
think like when you a dangle a carrot in front of a rabbit and then pull it away. same applies to a dangle in hockey.
That’s Tuff‼️🔥🔥🏒
a dangle is just a nice deke/move
Can ya'll play? I was born with skates on which kinda ticked off my mom but hey w/e I'll teach ya'll if u don't lol.
I wish they showed every one twice shit happens so fast hard to see on first watch especially for someone new to sport
We call them.moves "Greezie" 😆
a dangle is dragging the puck out and then rapidly bringing it back in. its a puck and stick juke.
Similar to a crossover.
I’d recommend the top 30 calls in hockey history. If you’re impressed to really get a feel for one of em look up stevens hot on Paul karyia 4:04 what happens after the hit is spectacular
You need to checkout Sidney Crosby.
Dangle is when you stick handle defenders. Deke is stick-handleing a goalie.
"It might could be...?" Jesus.
In NBA you call it breaking ankles
"Whats dangle mean" oh it means we taking ankles and or souls
Puck handling in a phone booth
don't forget..you watch it in slow motion!!
It's a fake out move...
How high is red hat 😂
when I grow up I want to dangle
Dangle just slang for like skill . Idk like toe drags, between someone’s leg or stick making them break there ankles or just handle the puck ridiculousy fast or whatever haha react to hockey hits tho, that’ll show u what the sports really like
U want some ankles breaker watch Cale Makar highlights
How you gonna do this with no McDavid??

McDavid was on this, what r u talking about?
Dangle = juke or deek
Check out aho and turbo share a brain. Those two players are severely underrated.
Dudty dangles
up to 45 mph on skates.
Dangles are the same as dekes in football or basketball... faking the opposing player(s) out
These are funny because I’ve seen plenty better than these, but forsberg plays for the Nashville predators and the overall hockey world doesn’t pay attention to him. Or even videos described as the hardest hits ever in the nhl. First things first, if the video of PK Destroying Marchand isn’t in it, or any of Cornwalls hits, then you are biased or didn’t put much time into making the video
Tackels= takeaways yk just sayin ain't being mean
Smoke a little less weed next time
Watch the hips my guy , all the movements in the hips are the same. Just can be a little more exaggerated at times in hockey just based off the angle you can be at while in a sharp turn. Other than that tho! It’s all very similar. I’ve always believed hockey takes the best parts from each sport and makes something real special. I really hope they bring back the World Cup of hockey some day that I’m alive. There are some super talented countries that could have a chance to win for their country again who have an incredible hockey team but not other sports.
