    6:00 is scored by a brother combo. Sweden’s Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Twins. They played their whole careers together on the Vancouver Canucks. Had some great years but never hoisted Lord Stanley. They were often considered the top two players on the team for most years together.

  • @Jagabot_Esq.

    Had Vancouver somehow managed to get rid of their awful owners, they would have won a cup or two with the Sedins and a handful of trades. But that club is all about just making a few bucks and existing and not about winning anything. It's a shame for any talented player to end up in Vancouver. They need 2 or 3 years of rebuilding (have for ~15 years) but the clowns running the team just want to do good enough to sell tickets and don't care about winning anything. Surprised they can fill the arena past 50% to be honest.

    Gretzky said Lemieux is the best player he's ever seen. I agree. Mario was 6'5" with incredible reach and the most skilled player ever. Lots of injuries--back especially and had beat cancer coming back in the middle of a season and still won the scoring title.

    Charles Barkley said he was going to start doing ice hockey announcing. He, like Daz, thinks it’s the sport. He’s a big fan. He reminded people that the other sports are done flat footed, but this one is on slippery ice and skates, which makes it harder, especially with the speed and physicality. He thinks the other sports should let the players brawl a bit like they do in hockey; didn’t Daz say the same thing?

    They did the Flames dirty in this one. Showed alot of goals against them but didn't show any of Tkachuk's crazy between the legs goals or Johnny Gaudreau's shootout goal against Minnesota which was similar to Datsyuk's but from a crazy angle, or the time Gaudreau danced around all 5 Pittsburgh players and scored a wraparound goal.

    People say they have a hard time watching the puck move when they watch the game, well try being a goalie when you are facing five players, with some screening and hitting you, while others are passing the puck to other players and then taking multiple shots.

    7:01 RE: "Why did the horn/light go off there?" In Hockey those are manually controlled by humans. There is no "Goal-line technology" like in soccer, beyond the video feeds. If there is any sort of discrepancy on whether a goal was scored or not there must be "Clear and conclusive evidence" to be able to overturn the call on the ice by the Referee's. The NHL tried putting trackers/electronics into the puck but, they heated up too quickly and playing with a warm puck on the ice makes it bouncy. All the NHL pucks are kept in a freezer until ready to play.

  • @coconyt3623
    @coconyt362311 ай бұрын

    It's the greatest game. Football (soccer) would have a shot, but there's too much embellishment and chickenshit ref calls deciding games. "Soccer players pretend they're hurt... Hockey players pretend they're ok." Ovechkin is 37. He's 2nd all-time in regular season goals with 822. Gretzky's record is 894. He's already been the greatest goal-scorer ever for a while now, given how much easier it was to score goals back when guys reached the 700s and beyond. But he just put up 42 last season, so if he has a couple more (or one and a half) 'Ovechkin years', he's gonna get the all-time mark. And Connor McDavid is the greatest active player. He had 153 points last season and is on pace to become the 2nd player ever to crack 2,000 career points (Gretzky, 2,857)... His combination of speed, acceleration, agility, awareness and control is just incredible. No one else comes close.
