OMG!! EASIEST ACRYLIC NAIL EVER!!! - How to Use Dual Forms to Create an Acrylic Nail

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi guys,
In this video I to teach you how to use Dual Forms or "Topits". Dual Forms look like tips but they're actually not so you won't be able to cheat and use a tip.
In order to do the technique perfectly, you have to rest the form on the cuticle of your fingernail. PLEASE DON'T SQUISH IT DOWN, if you do this you will squish all of the product down into the free edge and you will have nothing on your nail.
Now you don't want that to happen because then you won't end up with a FABULOUS nail like mine. This is a fast, easy and efficient hack for nail techs AND beginners.
If you guys haven't already seen it, we are hosting an AMAZING competition where one of you lucky subscribers will have the chance of winning an iPAD AIR 2!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!
Be sure to check out the previous video for information on how you can win!!!
THANK YOU FOR THE 1MIL SUBS AND HERE'S TO THE NEXT MILLION!
Love,
Kirsty xxxx

I have the Gelish poly gel system, its super easy to use since you an manipulate for longer periods and last as well as gel nails. The one thing i found is the slip solution when it comes in contact with forms is that it makes the form adhesive release. There is limited colors to the gelish poly gel and that is a def drawback.

To keep the underside smooth without filing you could place a sculpting form on! This would keep the acrylic flush with your free edge as well! It takes a couple of seconds and saves so much time with filing!!

I used dual forms for the first time today and omg there my new best friend especially when doing my own nails. Before my nails look awful they were lumpy and bumpy bit now there so smooth and I even found it easier using my non dominant hand. I can do a normal acrylic nail with tip and overlay on other people but in me it was a nightmare but dual forms have saved me time so now I can spend more time on the design.

They are sturdier and have a scale to allow you to choose lengths. I've also used them with tips. Works great. Great to see that a professional would consider using these not just us amateurs!xx

I'm not a nail tech, but I've been addicted to your channel for awhile now, you're fabulous! So I've watched enough of your videos to understand about the apex and how it helps the structure of the nail. I noticed with the dual forms that there was no building up of the apex to strengthen the structure. Is it necessary to build the apex or is it more of an aesthetic thing? Is it something that you can build with a dual form if you wanted to? Just a question for curiosity's sake. Thanks in advance!

Absolutely! You can make a thin layer with the dual form or regular form and cure to make a "tip". Then, add more product to form the apex and fill cuticle area and cure again. File and shape!

Nobody is Judging you. I am so sorry you got Dermatitis. I am surprised I haven't broke out myself with all the stress I have in my life, especially the past 10 years. I fell getting out of my vehicle in 08 causing me to have 5 Herniated discs in my neck & 2 Bulging Discs in my Lower back. I had 3 Discs surgically removed & a plate screwed in on my neck. I suffer from pain every day. I can no longer work, if I do to much my body shuts down & I am in bed for 3-7 days. I pray that you get back to being unstressed. Put some antibiotic cream or ointment on your hands & wrap them at night & I am positive that the Dermatitis will be gone within less than a week. @nail Nails

I get dermatitis from nail products and things my hands get into at work. I also get it on my forearms and shins from kneeling in hydraulic oil and grease, and rusty water. I have a Dr prescribed steroid cream. It works great on my arms and legs. But it's hard to keep it on my hands. No over the counter creams or lotions ever did anything. I've tried them all.

Have you tried using coconut oil on the cuticles? Mine have been totally dried out, cracking because of the weather and I have been using the coconut oil and it is working so well. I also apply it just before going to bed so it really has a chance to soak in. I also did a soak with foil over so the heat from the ends of my fingers made it really soak in the skin and (not kidding) they looked like new cuticles afterwards. Sorry you are going through this!!!

Do you dehydrate and prime before you apply the form? And does this prevent or promote lifting?

  • @beckyjones6200

    @beckyjones6200

    6 жыл бұрын

Yui Tachibana it's much the same as normal acrylic application. The dehydrator removes some natural oil from your nails (natural nail oils cause lifting). The primer seeps in to your nail slightly and acrylic sticks/bonds with the primer. If you form a nail without this prep either traditionally or with a dual form it would pop off like a press on nail from the 80's lol
