I appreciate both of these. Would definitely choose either of these over comparable references from Rolex.

If you tried on these two and a Daytona at the same time in the same store, I think you’d leave with the Daytona. But maybe not. I don’t collect Rolex, but I think it wears better.

@@randys766Almost no one leaves the AD with a Daytona. “Might” eventually get a call - if very lucky or a good customer.

The Daytona clowns both these watches. 44.25mm and 16mm thick is absurd. The Daytona wears far better, is far more subtle (especially on the Oysterflex) and of course has superior resale.

That's so adorable that you think you are even worthy of a Daytona. So yes, you would be choosing one of these two.

The updated version of the Navitimer (this is the previous model) is a great watch. I picked one up last year and it gets a ton of wrist time! Nice review Tim.

My two favorite watches. I already have the Navitimer and sometime will get the Speedmaster. I also would like a Navitimer Cosmonaute.

I own the B01 with a blue dial that I love. Omega makes excellent watches but I prefer something more aviation inspired. Were I to buy an Omega it would likely be a railmaster.

have had both and also have and have had much more expensive watches like these, Tim's opinion is more than perfect in my opinion Breitling is a more masculine option finer and more endurance of the look if can say that 🙌🏻

I own a couple Navitimers, but I love that Omega! Both for me 🙂

Omega's my brand, has been since I was a kid, and I still love them, equally my number one favourite watch brand. But in my mind, Breitling has always been a rung above Omega. And I think they still are. Breitling's are incredibly solid, beautifully styled and finished time pieces And I still think they hold higher brand equity than Omega. I've owned about 30 Omega's and I think only about 3 Breitlings, and I still think this way. Oh, and here, yes, I'd choose the Navi without a second thought.

The coaxial-based movement helps win the argument.

I will take Breitling

I wish the omega wasn’t so thick. Ceramic helps it wear well but I hate knocking it into door frames. For sub 20k new sport chronos with a vertical clutch, 100M WR and sub 13mm thickness… I think it’s just the Daytona and a JLC ref that escapes me,

I almost cannot make up my mind, but the thickness of the Omega is a deal breaker……and there should absolutely be a hand wound Navitimer in the collection (modified B03 movement?)

You forgot to mention that there are safety mechanism for the omega, you could push any pusher you want whenever wherever and it won't damage the movement.

I have some doubts. Both watches offer resistance to applying reset to a running chronograph, and forcing your way through the column wheel stop would damage either internally. Best, Tim

@@the1916companywatchreviews NO, omega 9300/9900 family DOES have the safety mechanism in its levers which I don't understand nobody ever mentioned it. You can press the start then reset button simultaneously, and you can press the reset then start button simultaneously. When the chronograph is running you can press the reset button, without any damage towards ANY parts. If any watchmaker in 1916 Company already trained for 9300/9900 family, the trainer would already have them watching the safety mechanism going off on the chronograph, and one of the most crucial things to do during the QC for that movement is that its safety mechanism need to be tested, otherwise there's a faulty mechanism cause by lack of lubrication in the watch and thus it need to be serviced

What about The Date ? You can change The date anytime on your 9300/9900 ? B01 is The only Chrono where Can change The date and don’t crack tbe mechanism so take care Omega, Breitling is better 😉

@@popalaurian you can change the date ANYTIME on 9300/9900 anytime as it scrolls down together with the travel hour. and also, most latest chronograph with date (except those based on lemania 1883 and ETA 7750 with exception on 7753 movement that you could change the date whenever wherever) they have safety features (springy finger) incooperated in the date driving wheel. That also include in the 9904/9905 moonphase movement. So my point is that nowadays any chronograph watches with date can change the date whenever and wherever and it's not exclusive only on Breitling B01.

I love me a Navitimer, but not that one. Dark Side looks great, but maybe too big and thick for me. Both brands offer better choices.

Definitely omega American cup 12k If we look sea master 8600$ And navitimer for 9000$ Bretling looks like more expensive

Omega wins. Better Movement, Better Tech, Better Materials, Equal looks. Only point Navitimer is superior is fit.

Nope... I have both. Fit and finish the Breitling is on another league. Omega only wins on the movement.

Versatile looks & robustness Nevitimer for the rest of life.

The Dark side is too delicate, it does not scratch but if you drop it it can be damaged, it does not hold water and the glass has an anti-reflective layer that scratches and also it is a new model with no history, it is not the same as the professional speedmaster, while The Breitling is more classic, it doesn't hold up to much water but it is resistant in general. What I don't like about that model is the logo, I liked the previous one better.
